That is obvious to find out and can do a search on that. The question is could he do what your saying without the help of Mackey, Lee or Hundley?

He wouldn't. He would have been a nice outside complement to Pettigrew and take some pressure off of him in the low post, however.

I seen Walls play very impressive in some really big games and that IMO is what makes him Mr. Basketball. This isnt baseball, there is much more to it than stats.

I disagree. Walls has dropped 30 before when necessary. He has been a great player all season. I just don't see how Pettigrew can get the award when he cant make his team better. Walls always made players around him better IMO.

I saw him play on film. And while his supporting cast was far from great I did not feel like he made the players around him better.

Heck there are a lot of kids out there that are winners. For that matter, we can stake a claim on Ty Proffitt. Look what that kid did for his South Laurel team.

I disagree I think Walls to streaky of a shooter, he does mean alot to his team with defense and court leadership. And you can't argue who went further in the tourment when the two teams are not even close in total talent level. You have to compare the two players on there own, when you do this I belive that Pettigrew comes out on top and he deserves the award.

His supporting cast simply wasn't very good. Walls didn't have to make his teammates better ... they were already very good.

No Doubt, If Pettigrew doesn't score at least 30 every night E-town only wins seven games this year. Walls is as deserving as any player I have ever seen and it would also be hard to leave out Pettigrew for the award.

Both Walls and Pettigrew are deserving. Walls is more deserving. Its like comparing two players for the Heisman Trophy, one played in the SEC and the other in the OVC.

I don't know if the description for the qualifications for the award are written anywhere. I think both players are very gifted and among the best we've seen in a few years.

 

I would cast my vote for Pettigrew. I just think he is the better player of the two. That is who I think the award should be given to...the better player. Walls' team was clearly better, but that has nothing to do with who is the better player.

 

Again, this is my opinion and I don't have a vote. I believe a lot of times, too many people give their votes to a player whose team had some postseason success and I think that penalizes kids who play for lesser teams, in stronger regions, etc.
