April 9, 200719 yr Author When Pelphrey was at S. Alabama (his first HC spot?), that was a lower head coaching position than Ford, in my opinion. Now, he has shot out of the ground. This is a big-time move for Pel. Will Ford be the next to move, this year or next? Imagine if Brady took the A&M job and Ford is hired at LSU... wow!
April 9, 200719 yr Congrats to John, and bama is fine with what they have. Not because he has done a spectacular job Larry, but because the coordinators at bama are getting stupid amounts of money to not beat auburn and the lowest paid coach on the staff is getting like 275k. They just cant afford another coach.

He has a lame duck Ad to deal with and a boatload of issues with present players including drug issues and academic issues. People wondered why Dana Altman left in a hurry. But it is better than being in Mobile coaching.
