April 9, 200719 yr I've read several places that Arkansas is going to hire John Pelphrey and he will be introduced tomorrow. Anyone else hear this?
April 9, 200719 yr Remember those saying he would be better served as an assistant at UK?
April 9, 200719 yr Author I hope so.....He will, IMO, be the next UK coach after Coach G.'s contract is up. Contract? So you think he will be out of here after 7 years... or just whenever he decides to leave (5-25yrs)?
April 9, 200719 yr Contract? So you think he will be out of here after 7 years... or just whenever he decides to leave (5-25yrs)? Given the history of UK coaches, yes, I believe he will be here 7 years. No more, no less.
April 9, 200719 yr Author Given the history of UK coaches, yes, I believe he will be here 7 years. No more, no less. With no success, you're right. With a championship, or even a Final Four, he'll still be around, unless he leaves for the NBA, which I don't ever see happening.
April 9, 200719 yr Author Arkansas has finally gotten someone who wants to be there. South Alabama coach John Pelphrey, who played in the SEC at Kentucky and has led the Jaguars to consecutive 20-win seasons, will be introduced as the Razorbacks head coach at a news conference at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, according to sources close to the situation. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6658992

April 9, 200719 yr I remember like it was yesterday Pelphrey fighting back tears as he tried to talk to reporters after the Duke loss in the NCAA tourney. Good luck to him. :thumb:
