Moylan mows them down! Wow, a Braves reliever that finishes strong!

Braves beat the Mets tonight 7-3 as Buddy Carlyle improves to 7-3.

 

Braves went up 6-0 early with homeruns from both, Francouer and Matt Diaz. Good overall performance from the bullpen tonight.

 

Braves move to within 3 1/2 games of the division lead.

 

Braves send Smoltz to the mound tomorrow to face off against Lawrence. Game is on ESPN @ 7:10

Carlyle has been pitching well!

A great game tonight. Hernandez had a no hitter going into the 5th inning. Mets were leading 1-0 until the 6th inning. After Hernandez struck out the first two batters, Willie Harris walked, Kelly Johnson singled, Chipper Jones doubled and johnson scored from 1st. Teixeira followed up with a single scoring Chipper Jones from 2nd.

 

Braves lead 3-1 going into the bottom of the 6th.
