April 3, 200719 yr You're the one who brought up the ville's final four appearance whenever it was. I could be mistaken, but Im sure you were talking about UK's titles in the 50's and in 96 & 98...Again, two years is different than a decade or more...
April 3, 200719 yr When is Uk's last final 4? 1998 When is Uk's last elite 8? 2005 Thanks I really didn't know. But as far as UK still being considered an elite team they should have made it to the final 4 more than once in the past 10 years. Look at home many times Duke, UNC, UCLA and well even Ohio St and Florida have been in the past 10 years. All have atleast 2 appearances. I hate to say it but UK's tradition is slowly fading because of their recent struggles.
April 3, 200719 yr What's the cut off so I know for future reference? When you still have players on the team that actually PLAYED in the Final Four...

April 3, 200719 yr At least you're talking about an acomplishment under U of L's current coach. The current coach at Kentucky hasn't done ANYTHING. This is too easy...
April 3, 200719 yr I could be mistaken, but Im sure you were talking about UK's titles in the 50's and in 96 & 98...Again, two years is different than a decade or more... You would be mistaken. Again the comment was about this years tournament but feel free to change it to benefit your side of it all you want. :thumb:
April 3, 200719 yr Two years ago is a bit different than a decade ago... Wasn't three yrs. ago that they were in the N.I.T.?
April 3, 200719 yr That changes the arguement how? Louisville had the better overall season but it didn't get them any further then UK. You don't mind mentioning the final 4 2 years ago but you sure aren't talking much about the NIT 1 year ago. UofL's immediate future definitely looks brighter at this point but UK has yet to hire a coach. Let's not crown Louisville just yet.
April 3, 200719 yr I think a lot of you are getting off topic. Bottom line is this. UK has a rich tradition but others built it. Billy D is building his own tradition at UF. Numbers, championships and rings don't lie. Billy D has shown no signs of coming to UK therefor IMO it's wishful thinking amongst most UK fans.
April 3, 200719 yr Oh bother... Another "UK/UL debate". I always hated when the thread title had nothing to do with the thread. Time to see where we lost this one.

You guys are making all the same points the "Tubby bashers" were getting reamed for bringing up a month ago.

April 3, 200719 yr Billy D has shown no signs of coming to UK therefor IMO it's wishful thinking amongst most UK fans. At this point, NO ONE has shown signs of comign to UK, so does that mean Barnhart is going to have to coach next year?
April 3, 200719 yr So is everyone FINALLY going to admit that UK fans aren't crazy for being dissatisfied with Tubby? You guys are making all the same points the "Tubby bashers" were getting reamed for bringing up a month ago. My thoughts exactly.

Who's crowning Louisville anything...Im merely trying to point out that the Cards had a better overall season than UK did..It's quite obvious for a few posters in this thread that is hard to swallow...It's not rocket science, even though a few seem to be having trouble.
