June 3, 200719 yr There is when you can't grasp what it's going to take to get there. Reds win a few games and you are invisible. Things go wrong and it's like clockwork... I was on here today when the score was 8-2. I guess i knew ahead of time they were going to blow a 6 run lead.
June 3, 200719 yr Author GT I see what you are saying and all but this bunch has had more than a "bad stretch" every season or two. The Reds seem to stay in a bad stretch. We just do not have a good baseball team in any phase of the game (especially bullpen).............Period. And that is what Krivsky is here to fix. And he's actually going to do it top to bottom. The others before him didn't, and that's why we are here. All I am defending is the fact I think Krivsky is doing a lot of good in a situation that was brutal to step in to. No more. No less...
June 3, 200719 yr You've been killing me all day. thanks:ylsuper: I do what I can. lol Virginia baseball won a big game last night over defending champion Oregon St. They are just a win away from the first Super Regional in school history. That has put me in a great mood that has carried over to today.
June 3, 200719 yr Author I was on here today when the score was 8-2. I guess i knew ahead of time they were going to blow a 6 run lead. Your first post of the afternoon. Is there anyone in Reds management that have the slightest clue what they're doing? That was about a lineup that scored 9 runs. You have really had a lot of positive things to say...

June 3, 200719 yr Whats it like to root for a baseball team that does well? Considering I'm a Chicago sports fan and with both the Cubs and White Sox playing VERY badly, I pull for the Reds since I live in the area. NOTHING the Cavaliers do this postseason can truly wipe away the horrid moments I have already seen and will continue to see everyday with these three teams. lol
June 3, 200719 yr Your first post of the afternoon. That was about a lineup that scored 9 runs. You have really had a lot of positive things to say... Come on how can you be positive?? They stink. Did you not watch what happened today? This team is quite possibly the worst in Reds history, kind of hard to be positive, when year after year a once storied franchise continues to field sub par teams. St Louis is going to wipe the field with these guys. The whos next? I heard Atl, the Mets, Fla? Complaining on here does nothing, but I absolutely will not drop a dime on these losers, nor should anyone else if they wish to send a message to management. Whatever they have to do to get better then do it. The Cincinnati fans deserve better than this abysmal attempt at a major league team. Waiting 3-5 years doesn't cut it.
June 3, 200719 yr I took a shot at the people that belly ache about any and everything they think should be done. Krivsky has been working in baseball for how long? How about you??? Another shot nice. I'm not one of the people that complains about everything, but thanks. How long have you been in the game exactly?
June 3, 200719 yr Author I was 13 and sitting in the yellow seats for WS games 1 and 2 in 1990. I've been going to games since I was 1 with my dad. Enjoy it when they win. Enjoy it when the don't. Compared to burying my brother, mom, grandpa, godfather and so on, a local team losing a game does little to bring me down for more than 5 minutes.

June 3, 200719 yr When you watch or listen to the games you help the franchise... Not really I couldn't even tell you one of the sponsors beside the soft drink co. And believe me if there was a way I could help this franchise I'd do it. I have been a fan for a long time ( I remember the field next to 75) I have seen ups and downs in this time, but I am just tired of the length of this down period. Its been too long and to see the team get worse is just too much. I believe the false optimism in the spring has lent itself to this feeling of hopelessness. But thats where we are.
June 3, 200719 yr They may suck now, but one day down the road when they cruise into the World Series and, I don't know, we'll say Josh Hamilton lifts a game 7 walk-off homerun out of some lame, American-League park it will be sweet. Very sweet. And I will remind all of my fairweather fan friends about these desolate days of losing baseball, and I will remind them of how I stuck through it. I can't wait.

I was looking for the " I have a dream" statement in there. Seriously I hope you're right
June 3, 200719 yr I'm not. That's why I don't second guess management all the time... So you're saying I second guess management all of the time. I don't think that's accurate. I do think that sometimes management and the manager make bad decisions. Sometimes I'll point them out. I make bad decisions every week that get pointed out to me by someone. Again am I not allowed to have an opinion?
