June 4, 200719 yr Hobbs and Coffey return. Wise and Salmon back to AAA... Hobbs:thumb: Coffey :scared: Seriously, when you see Narron come out, motion to the pen, is the first thing out of your mouth something along the lines of "Good Grief"? Seeing that big oaf pseudosprinting out doesn't conjure up much optimism. You know, since I'm raking on Coffey, if you're gonna have a gimmick like the sprint from the bullpen, you'd better be able to get people out consistently, otherwise you're a joke. Randy Myers for instance, with his deliberate bowlegged trot and his camo shirt hanging out of the sleeves would have been a joke, with the exception that he got people out. Can't remember ever thinking "crap, here comes Myers" when the call to the pen was made. And I was one who said last season that I'd give him a shot at closing. I offer up a complete and utter retraction, and openly admit to those who said NO WAY,,,,,,I was wrong.

June 5, 200719 yr Larkin Oliver Morris Doran Sabo Hatcher Davis O'Neill Armstrong Hopefully the Reds can bounce back after that tough loss in Colorado, should be a good series in St Louis. Come on Narron...Line them up like this: Hatcher (S) Larkin ® O'Neill (L) Davis ® Morris (L) Sabo ® Doran (S) Oliver ® Armstrong
June 5, 200719 yr When my dad saw that, he said OLIVER WOULDN'T BE BATTING 2nd! I simply said Narron would do that to SHAKE THINGS UP! I just posted that as the players were listed on the webpage. Would have been amusing "back in the day" seeing Oliver batting 2nd and O'Neill hitting 8th.

June 5, 200719 yr Let's not forget Hobbs' return is counterbalanced by Coffey's. I'm taking a "wait and see" approach ... I was thinking about mentioning that after I typed winning streak. Coffey will make sure he has a say in whether the Reds can string some wins together or not.
June 5, 200719 yr  I was thinking about mentioning that after I typed winning streak. Coffey will make sure he has a say in whether the Reds can string some wins together or not. Well, if his stint has the same affect as E5's did, maybe Coffey can become servicable after all.
June 5, 200719 yr Well, if his stint has the same affect as E5's did, maybe Coffey can become servicable after all. As the Colorado game showed, that 7th-8th inning "go to guy" slot is wide open for ANYONE to take. You would think someone would do it EVENTUALLY, these guys got to the majors for a reason, at least ONE of them can pitch decently, right? hopefully?
