I have a question for those of you who know more about MLB than I. Concerning Homer, why would it be a bad idea to call him up, when he is ready, and have him assume the role of closer.

Not a bad idea in theory but, the reds want him as a starter and they probably don't want him to get comfortable as a closer.

He has been hitting 3rd against every Lefty. Hits 2nd only against Righties.

Well you told me. Guess I haven't been paying very close attention to detail.

Sorry, didn't mean it to come off that way. Just (somewhat) defending "Baseball Guy" for not over-tinkering. :jump:

By the way, I HATE the D-backs new Red uniforms. The last thing the NL needed was another team with Red as the primary color. I liked their old color scheme.

No you didn't its fine. I like E-5 in the 4 hole a lot.

If Orlando Hudson (aka O-Dog) is your 3rd hitter than your offense officially isn't good. Just an fyi...

Hopefully the Reds can get the trip off to a good start. Would have been nice to see Brandon pitch in the series.

Oh, sorry, I thought you were actually a Reds' fan. ;) :p

Well I'm a Chicago fan, BUT I do love listening to Marty and watching the Reds everyday.

With that said, a great success story from Ashland and I would hope for Brandon to pitch well and the Reds could touch up the bullpen and get a win. : )

Another night of listening to Jeff Brantley...YAWN.

Double E has done pretty good so far this year, can't be too hard on him for leaving that runner at 3rd.

Jeff and Marty mentioned the Reds hitters being patient and waiting for their pitch. So they should have no problem getting more baserunners if they can do that. Was it just me or did Brandon have those bases stolen before the pitch was even thrown.

I am a big fan of the jerseys...

Nice clutch hit by Gonzalez to get the scoring started. Ross sees his teammates being patient and taking a few pitches and what does he do? Goodness, I know he will eventually get better, but at least Larue hit 230.
