Track The Reds...

Doug Davis is nearing 90 pitches, hopefully to goodness the 5th will be his last. I found this interesting.

Davis signed 3-year contract worth $22M thru 2009 season on 1/18/07- + he receives salaries of $5.5M in 2007, $7.75M in 2008 and $8.75M in 2009- + 2006 salary: $3.2M (+ $400K in performance bonuses), 2005: $2.35M

How in the world is a pitcher like Davis worth that kind of money? 62-64 in his career coming into this year. I know Arizona isn't the first team to sign someone average to this kinda money, but goodness.

And no one better say it. You know what I am talking about.

Yep, I noticed that no one has said anything and I'm glad that everyone appears to be letting things play out without talking about it.

Dunn hits into a double play for the second time tonight.

Marty and Jeff mentioned that, why in the world did the right fielder not call him off and make the catch.

Because, adding this incident to the several times AZ has overshot the cutoff man and unnecessarily surrendered extra bases on Reds hits, it appears the D-Backs just aren't a very fundamentally sound team in the field.

Blame it on Thom Brennaman. Just before, he said, "And Arroyo hasn't allowed a hit."

Marty mentioned it at the top of the 5th and as soon as he said it, I knew it was a matter of time. Oh well. A few more insurance runs would be nice and that should wrap this game up with the way Arroyo has been pitching.

Eric Byrnes just made an excellent grab to get Davis out of the inning rather quickly.

Amazing catch and Conine is just killing the ball everytime he comes up.

Did anyone else see the guy on tv wearing the vanilla ice tshirt? He was sitting next to the guy wearing the Reds jersey.

DBacks score.

I would love to have Byrnes on any team I manage.

You gotta wonder if the missed opportunities the Reds had early will come back to haunt them.

Hopefully Narron learned from Arroyo's last start, let him start the 7th and if he gets in ANY trouble, pull him.
