This is a joke of a Thread. It is going to be UK since this site is based in Kentucky...

Just remember, "You don't want to be the guy that follow's a legend, you want to follow the guy that followed the legend."

Which rules Duke and UNC out, IMO...

I dont think there is anywhere more fun to win it all at than Kentucky because of the large fan base. If you can be very successful then Kentucky is the place to be.

At the same time, a bad year in Kentucky can be miserable for a coach!

It may be because it is based in Kentucky but that does not mean that Kentucky isn't the best job.

It all depends on the person being offered the job...

I love UK, but, IMO, Duke, right now, is the best job. For what Coach K has accomplished in the last 15-20 years it's amazing and they probably get more air time and top recruits than anyone. In addition, the fans there understand the parity that exist in todays game and are more realistic than some others.. N.Carolina is a close 2nd with UK and Kansas a close 3rd and 4th.. UCLA's great too, but, with everything else going on in Southern California, such as USC football, Laker basketball, the Dodgers, etc, they're just another big team of many in the area...

Duke isn't even the best job in North Carolina. UNC is. I think it has to come down to UK or UNC being the best program because they have both won titles with multiple coaches. Duke is Coach K University and won't be close to their level of consistancy without him. UCLA is all about John Wooden just like Indiana is Bob Knight. Kansas is probably 5th or 6th in my mind. I think that it is.

Was Coach K at Duke in 1976, when UK beat them in the Final 4? They were a very good program before Coach K and if I were a young coach, would highly consider them over any other. I did say NC was a close 2nd, but, they could also be considered Dean Smith U. They've not had near the success Duke has had in the last 20 years, IMO and the recruiting has been about even...

I said UCLA. Think about it...

Southern California

Easy to recruit kids to come there

Very little pressure
