Fraliex's name is misspelled ...

Is this poll who we think will win or who we think should win?

I just voted as to who should win and who I felt was the best player.

Its a 2 horse race, but 3 names IMO will be in the running.

1. Matt Walls

2. Stephon Pettigrew

3. Twany Beckham

Good post!! :thumb:

The championship game performances of Beckham and Walls plus the fact that the game was televised may help Pettigrew win title.

Lot of talent in KY this year and speaks well, of the abilities of all.

I really don't understand Walls being called one of the "top 2". He can play and I like his game but he's not nearly as impressive as Pettigrew, Knowles, or even Hill at that. He isn't even the top player on his own team, that being Mackey. I guess at Scott Co. he gets more exposure than these other guys.

Walls in '07 and it will be Mackey in '08 Scott produces back to back Mr. Basketball

The Kentucky state tournament run is similar to running a marathon. It is a test of endurance.

Everyone knows it and therefore the championship game subpar performance of Matt Walls should be discounted.

2007 Kentucky Mr. Basketball........Scott County's Matt Walls.

No argument there ... but if "how he played in March" matters as much as some say it does, you have to take the good with the bad. Walls had two very good games in the Sweet 16, but he also had a subpar championship game ... that isn't in dispute.

Walls faced Knowles and played a whole lot better than Knowles did. Walls is a much better high school player than Knowles is.

Walls and Hill both had very good supporting casts. What happened? Hill had a subpar game while Walls had 26 points and had to carry the load with Mackey in foul trouble.

All this talk about Walls not being the top player on his team is false. Bud and Matt both had great years and really up until the 4th qtr Walls had a much better Sweet 16. Both players were equally important to the team.

Pettigrew earned it for his play through out the year.
