Just watched a preview for the movie, and I think it's going to be awesome. More gore than ever before.

 

Yep, I was considering posting it here. Til I saw the decapitation and the scene with the adams apple getting ripped out of the guys throat. lol

Knowing how picky the MPAA can be, I doubt all of it will make it in the movie, they will have trim a little bit here and there.

Maybe someone on here might know the answer... Wasn't the book First Blood originally set in Kentucky? I had heard this when the movie came out, but I can't confirm it. Theatrically it was moved to the NW (Washington or Oregon)...

Troutman is dead I think (Richard Crena). Maybe they can get Ben Stiler to take his place..... "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood".

You are missing the greatest/funniest sequel ever Sly could take part in... Party at Kitty and Studs, Part II.

He looks terrible, I really hope this movie doesn't ruin the series.

Yes, the First Blood novel took place in Kentucky AND while I'm just rambling on, the latest edition of First Blood on dvd has an alternate ending with Troutman killing Rambo. Needless to say it was changed and here we are 26 years later.

The man who made the knife for the first Rambo is a family friend. He used to live out in Oldham County but I'm not sure if he still does or not.

The town scenes in the movie were shot in Hope, British Columbia, Canada. The rest of the movie was shot in Golden Ears Provincial Park.

IMDB says the budget was originally 11M but ended up costing about 17M. Either way it shows how much the budgets have changed for action movies. The Spider-Man 3 budget was approximately 250M...

I read the book years before the movie was made and yes, it did take place in Madison, Kentucky. In the book, Rambo was a Vietnam nut case and the police chief was sort of the hero. In the end the Rambo kills a bunch of cops and the police chief kills Rambo.

A friend of mine's mom use to date a guy named John Rambo. Ironically he was a wacko.

Rocky Balboa was a good movie...not sure about this one.

To be 60 years old I dont think he really looks all that bad.
