It's the fallout of Tubby leaving.....I know, he wasn't fired, but many wanted a change and it's happened. Some tried to warn everyone of the ramifications and many said they didn't care as long as Tubby was out. Now he is, and everyone's leaving. Karma Cute.

Crawford is already and excellent college basketball player. He just needs to be excellent more than half the time. Maybe a more consistant player is what he needs to become.

Should be be an excellent player of coarse, but he is not and has not been a excellent college basketball player so far. Having a great 5 or 6 game stretch like he did to start SEC play does not qualify you as being a excellent college basketball player. Lofton, Byars, etc. are excellent college basketball players...

As of right now he is definitely not an excellent basketball player....

I think he is. He doesn't always play as a hard or look as prepared as he needs to. But he is still and excellent player. You can't teach talent. Crawford has talent. Work ethic may be a different thing. Like I said. Opinions vary.

March 27, 200719 yr If we get Billy D. then the chance of getting Patterson goes up again... If UK gets Billy Donovan, I think Lucas and Patterson both will be playing for the Wildcats next year...with Morris gone, and if Crawford leaves, the playing time will be there, they'll be playing for one of the hottest coaches in America, at a program with tradition like UK, and a chance to bring UK back into national prominence...I would think those would be enticing prospects. Just playing out the what if scenarios there....but that's what I think.

I think Crawford settles for the outside jumper too much...he's strong and physical (similar to Keith Bogans) and I think his game would be better suited to play like Bogans...using his strength to attack the basket, draw fouls and get in the lane. He doesn't really have great quickness or athleticism, so using his strength would benefit him more, IMO. I can't see him going overseas being a bad move, because I doubt he'd ever make it in the NBA, so I'm not sure staying another year at UK would help him in that regard.

He has yet to really ever play good in a big game. When we play good teams, he never makes his outside shots. He tries to force things inside and throws up shots on double teams, and is just very selfish. excellent players show up the most when the game matters the most. Crawford only has numbers when we play nobodys usually...Once again I do say he should be an excellent player and SHOULD BE the best player on the team, because he does have so much talent. But he has yet to ever use it when we need him to, and until he does he is not an excellent player... (I sure hope he does get it together this year though if he is here, and plays like he is capable of all the time...)

I just dont see how you can call a player excellent when they are not living up to their potential. I mean I guess there are alot of excellent basketball players out there then, even though they might be sitting at home right now just because they never did live up to their potential...As you said I guess we just have different opinions when it comes to calling a guy an excellent player....
