March 24, 200719 yr It's the fallout of Tubby leaving.... So we've got Morris who could've left any day no matter what, and POSSIBLY Crawford who messed up UNDER TUBBY. Also, the spring semester isn't over, so he can't be ineligible unless he just dropped all his classes.
March 24, 200719 yr With the way things are going, I am waiting for Bill Keightly to get suspended for steroid use.
March 24, 200719 yr Can we refrain from blaming Tubby for stuff now that he is gone? The rumors I have heard around the Sweet 16 today were Joe C. was thinking of dropping out and trying to play in Europe or the NBDL! It was also said that he did not want to have to learn a new system and such under a new coach w/all that has went down. These are just rumors, for what is worth!I am sure before it is all settled we will hear a hundred different things.

Unfortunately Tubby ranting and blaming is going to continue until UK makes it back to the Final 4 again.
March 24, 200719 yr You reap what you sew. You always do what you always did , you will always get what you always got..
March 24, 200719 yr You always do what you always did , you will always get what you always got.. If in the next 10 years, UK averages 26 wins per season, makes 4 Elite 8 appearances, 1 Final 4 appearance, wins one national championship, wins 30 games for ONLY the 12th and 13th time in school history, would you be happy?

Look great coaches without the right players means nothing when all the supporters a coach has to fall back on is how good of a coach he was. Players play and coaches coach and the players Tubby was getting the last few years were not going to make him and the program from a fans standpoint ( which of course the fans indirectly are paying his salary) any more happy.
March 24, 200719 yr Matt Jones has reported that the Crawford rumors are 100% false. He also said that he has spoken with 2 people close to Billy D. that have both said he would be interested in the UK job. Said Donavon has been upset with the poor attendence in Gainsville. http://blog.kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=1961
March 24, 200719 yr I'm hearing rumors that WLAP radio is reporting that Joe Crawford will be declared academically ineligible, and will be exploring his opportunities of playing overseas. Has anyone that has access to WLAP heard this? See ya. I am eager for the rebuiling process to begin. It will be worth the wait.

Coach, I can't believe anybody could be in love with someone as much as you are with Tubby Smith. I'm not sure I love my wife as much as you love Coach Smith. You have dominated every board explaining how you feel about the situation. You have blamed fans across the state for "running the coach out." You have made outlandish predictions about the future of Kentucky basketball over the next few years. You have stated that it will not be an appealing opening for coaches around the country. I've enjoyed all of your posts until this week, but lighten up. Coach Smith is gone for the betterment of himself and the UK program.

March 24, 200719 yr That's the beauty of a message board.....You can voice your opinion as often as you'd like.... I guess it goes both ways. But it gets a bit redundant reading the exact same post from the same poster. And I know I don't have to read them, but the poster has made his point. He doesn't have to continue to harp on it.
