March 25, 200719 yr Not according to this article. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2809958 Jerry Tipton states in todays Lexington Herald-Leader : "Less than a week after saying he would explore his NBA options, Morris signed a two-year contract with the New York Knicks reportedly worth $1.6 million per season."
March 25, 200719 yr I just read that, obviously somebody(ESPN or Tipton) has it wrong. Well, I have a source , that has a source, that has a source, who knows someone who has a source, and he said........
March 25, 200719 yr Author If Morris is getting 1.6 million per year, it would pay him more than 5 Knicks are making. I would seriously doubt that he would get that kind of salary. Knicks payroll
March 25, 200719 yr If Morris is getting 1.6 million per year, it would pay him more than 5 Knicks are making. I would seriously doubt that he would get that kind of salary. Knicks payroll Personally, I am clueless. Just going by the words of Mr. Tipton.
March 25, 200719 yr If Morris is getting 1.6 million per year, it would pay him more than 5 Knicks are making. I would seriously doubt that he would get that kind of salary. Knicks payroll If you all really want to figure it out, just find out what the 26th or something pick usually gets in the first round, because they said the contract he got is about the same as that pick in the first round...
March 25, 200719 yr Wireman, you couldn't be more right. I'm not sure what part of Joe Crawford we would miss?? The help he brought in achieving continuous shot clock violations? Most dribbles in a halfcourt offense in UK history? How about shooting well vs the duds and never showing up against the top 25? Lowering his head to dribble between 3 defenders like it's fourth and inches? Between him and Ramel Bradley I'm not sure that UK has had a more interesting duo. These two pump each other up in the media with every chance that they get. It's like they made a deal a the beginning of the year that when they are posed a question about one another they would glorify each other to the fullest. It's hilarious. Actually, it's not hilarious, it's pathetic. It resembles their play. If Chris Lofton threw up some sort of ignorant symbol everytime he made a shot, he would need rotator cuff surgery by the end of the year. :thumb:
March 25, 200719 yr Morris signed a two year deal that makes him a TOTAL of $1.6 million. Maybe Jerry Tipton needs replaced too.
March 25, 200719 yr Can you imagine Jodie Meeks, Joe Crawford, Ramel Bradley , and Jai Lucas under Billy The Kid. Can you say "Dono's Bombos" ? :dancingpa :fire:
March 27, 200719 yr According to WTVQ, Crawford is staying. I can only imagine that means he's in good academic standing as well.
March 27, 200719 yr Crawford says he'll be back at UK Though the University of Kentucky's basketball players are keeping quiet these days, they still can silence rumors. Guard Joe Crawford yesterday told Scott Stricklin, UK's associate athletic director for media relations, that he will return to the Wildcats for his senior season. Crawford, UK's leading returning scorer in the wake of Randolph Morris' departure to the NBA, was responding to speculation about his basketball future that has circulated since Tubby Smith left UK for the coaching job at Minnesota last week. "Joe said he definitely plans to be back," Stricklin said. Crawford averaged 14 points and four rebounds per game for the Cats. No UK players have been available to the media since Smith's departure last week.
