March 23, 200719 yr I wanted to hold back, but I just had to pick this one apart... I received the following email at work. Take it as you will.... "Everybody knows somebody who knows somebody associated with the UK Basketball program. We've all had the "inside" scoop. False Indicator #1 Rick has made it known over the last couple of years that U of L would not be his final stop on his coaching tour. Really? I must not have been paying attention these last few years.... He has had difficulty in developing the atmosphere at UL like he achieved at UK. Has been upset especially this year, when the U of L faithful have doubted his abilities and direction he was leading the program And he wants to go back to UK?!   He recognized that deep down, the UL fan base would turn on him with one bad move (referencing that he came from their hated rival and knew deep down he was never loved like he was in UK). The NIT is a bad move, we didn't turn our back on him... Right it down 'Nuff said....
March 23, 200719 yr Way to ruin everything Deuce :irked: Sorry...   I can let some ignorance go, but that was just too much.
March 24, 200719 yr Sorry...   I can let some ignorance go, but that was just too much. Apparently it did not stop you from posting that ignorance. Baaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 24, 200719 yr Kentucky fans may want to pull it together because Rick Pitino is not walking through that door! Classic post! Love it! I don't see Rick coming back. If he did, I will cheer for the Cats. If he doesn't, I will cheer for the Cats. I don't think he will come back for many of the reasons stated, but if he does, the expectations would be so high that he would be feeling the heat immediately. Either way, I will be pulling for the Cats, but don't see this happening.
March 24, 200719 yr Louisville's a potential top-five team next year, and has a good recruiting class coming in. Explain to me the logic of leaving that situation for one where you'll likely struggle to make the NCAA tourney?
March 24, 200719 yr It could very well be possible that Pitino is talking to UK right now, but it's not because he wants the job... :sssh:
March 24, 200719 yr It could very well be possible that Pitino is talking to UK right now, but it's not because he wants the job... :sssh: I'm sorry.....I don't follow??
March 24, 200719 yr I'm sorry.....I don't follow?? Slick Rick is well known to campaign for his guys..
March 24, 200719 yr Slick Rick is well known to campaign for his guys.. Billy D? Sort of like campaigning for Reagan in 1984.
March 24, 200719 yr I wouldn't have a problem if Pitino came back to UK, just don't see it happen. I still think that Donovan will be UK's next Coach.JMO
March 24, 200719 yr Billy D. did not exactly turn UK down in his post-game presser. He didn't even give the lame "I'm the Florida coach and all I'm thinking about his the next game" response.
