March 24, 200719 yr I'm going to miss Morris dearly, but I wish him only the best at the next level. Looks like the Knicks are getting an talent with a lot of potential, and a lot of bubble gum to chew. Good luck big guy, you'll really be missed next year.
March 24, 200719 yr That doesn't matter. He's leaving school early and will cost UK an APR point... So one APR point equals 18-20 plus 8-10 boards, 3-4 fouls, and about 3 smiles per season, glad we got that one straight.
March 24, 200719 yr I am sure Randolph will be a 4 at the next level. No doubt, I have to give the guy credit, he was one of the best in college facing the basket and hitting the 10 foot jumper. The only thing holding him back is athleticism and that "fire", you don't learn athleticism, and I don't think he will ever have that "fire".
March 24, 200719 yr Much like Tubby's departure, I think this move is the best for both parties, as well. I'll support Randolph in the NBA, but he is another example of someone who was at UK for himself and not for the team. If you can't lay it on the line for the team, then glad to see you go. Now, get me a new coach that can get me true Wildcats.
March 24, 200719 yr I think every top HS kid wants "his", I just think Dolph's demeanor didn't help much, seems like a good kid, very quiet, I wish him well but we as UK fans will suffer without him in the short term, you can't deny that.
March 24, 200719 yr I would rather suffer with kids that play hard and give their all for the betterment of the team.
March 24, 200719 yr One thing for sure, Mr. Morris will have to take a cut in pay when he signed with the Knicks.
March 24, 200719 yr Mitch Barnhart met with Morris late Thursday night and asked Morris to wait until a new coach was in place before deciding whether to leave. I'm sorry but I that just struck me as funny. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/10083194

March 26, 200719 yr Maybe this was stated earlier, as I havent read the entire article, but I wonder if the two year contract means through the end of next season, or if it will be like he gets a pro rated amount this season, then is on for two more seasons???
March 26, 200719 yr Morris said on the news last night because Coach Smith left is what really made his decision to go to the NBA. Well if thats true then Tubby and Morris have this in common. They both are able to make life-changing decisions about their future in 24 hours. It didnt make a difference to Morris that Tubby was the coach two years ago. IMO- Morris is using this as an excuse so not as many people would say he was planning it all along as soon as a contract came through. I dont blame him I would have left no matter who was the coach---for 1st round money.
