Jared Carter is loving it right now...

This opens up a scholly for Pettigrew at Etown...
Maybe. Is Morris leaving school in good academic standing? If not, UK may receive scholarship penalties for a low team GPA. This could hurt Kentucky worse than just losing the backbone of their offense.

He's a pretty bright kid from what I've been told.

I'm happy for Randolph. Good luck in NYC.

I have a hunch there's more to come.....

That doesn't matter. He's leaving school early and will cost UK an APR point...

Here is a little piece from a article at TCP about Morris...I thought this part was interesting.

Morris met with UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart on Thursday night just hours after UK coach Tubby Smith departed Lexington and accepted the head coaching job at Minnesota. UK spokesperson Scott Stricklin said the conversation ended with Morris telling Barnhart he would wait to make a decision about the NBA until UK hired a coach to replace Smith.

"Mitch asked him to wait until a new coach was hired before making a decision," Stricklin said. "Randolph said he thought that was fair."

Stricklin noted that UK asked Morris for patience because of the depths it went to on Morris' behalf to restore his eligibility last season. When he was granted his eligibility – with the half-season penalty – Morris stated publicly that he would finish his four years at UK because of the debt he owed them for going standing by him. Instead, Morris jumped at the chance to sign with one of the NBA's more famous franchises.

How does this work?

At least he had enough class to wait until the season is over.

Randolf was leaving whether Tubby stayed or not. He worked hard and proved his worth. He deserves the contract he got. Congrats to him, and good luck in the NBA.

Is there a link for this?

Most of it is in the updated ESPN article.
