March 21, 200719 yr I have some friends at the Sweet 16 and they said there was a rumor going around Lexington that all three of UK's assistants have been let go or will be soon. Shawn Finney will be back in some capacity as will Scott Holsopple! I have no idea if this is true and neither does my friends, but I do find it interesting. Just curious if anyone else had heard anything?
March 21, 200719 yr Okay, as long as they keep Scott, I don't care who goes. (Of course I want Tubby to stay, but that's beside the point)
March 22, 200719 yr Scott Holsopple is the Strength and Conditioning coach. If you watched any "Big Blue Network" games, you should know this! Martin Newton harped on it all game, every game. I didn't see much improvement in the strength/conditioning capacity, but oh well.
March 22, 200719 yr Okay, as long as they keep Scott, I don't care who goes. (Of course I want Tubby to stay, but that's beside the point) The strength and conditioning coach was last years scapegoat. Apparently this year's will be Hanson, Hobbs, and Rigot. Who will be the scapegoat next year?
March 22, 200719 yr Author Scott Holsopple made a MAJOR difference w/the strength and conditioning!!! Anyone could see that and everyone commented on how better the team looked and they were a better conditioned team!

March 22, 200719 yr "A better conditioned team" THAT COULDN"T FINISH GAMES!!!:madman: The not finishing games was due to a lack of mental toughness by certain individuals.
March 22, 200719 yr The not finishing games was due to a lack of mental toughness by certain individuals. Welcome to yet another excuse. This team just flat out wasn't coached good. Mental toughness is a reflection of leadership. Having no leadership KILLED this team. Noone to guide them through the tough times.
March 22, 200719 yr I have also heard this rumor but CAN NOT validate it. I do think Mitch and Todd need to send a message.
March 22, 200719 yr The not finishing games was due to a lack of mental toughness by certain individuals. They lost more than one game because they simply ran out of gas in the second half (see the Memphis game...).
March 22, 200719 yr I dont know if this is true, but I heard a rumor from a few people that I know that Coach Hobbs is actually retiring...
