Jasper definately doesnt live up to previous UK PG's that wore the #5, Travis Ford, Wayne Turner...

I still don't think Bradley should've ran the point... Meeks looked to be the better option down the stretch actually... He ran it a few times at the end of the season... Kept an eye out for scoring opportunities, but the offense was really moving when the ball was in his hands.

I try not to stray into too many UK threads. The fact that I'm a UofL fan will immediately get me numerous upset posters who want to argue their own points with me so I don't bother very often.

Meeks barely ran the point at all, it was crawford who was running it when it was just them two in the game. As much as you all hate to admit it, Bradley did alot better job running the point as the year wen on, than he did to start the season. He was are best option at the PG spot this year. You all say Bradley is not a true pg, and that is true he is not a true pg, however he is more of a pg than Meeks...

I think that Meeks would have been better suited helping out both Crawford and Bradley all season, developing his skills and finding out which spot he will be best suited for in the future as I feel that he will be a starter very soon. This would have allowed for more pt for Stevenson because he needs to be developed badly and you can only do so much in practice to prepare for real game situations. Plus UK needs a true swing-man like he could be pronto.

I honestly think alot of people just really had it in their heads that they just thought Bradley cant run the point, so they would just rather see anyone else run it. And they wouldn't want to admit that Bradley would have been a better option at the point than, Jasper was for us this year...

When we make these statements, it's bashing, and we're biased...My view is, wait till the end of the season when more than likely the same will be going on, and the truth will speak for itself...That's why nobody wanted to hear what you had to say...They saw what was going on, and either didn't want to believe it, or weren't going to admit you were right...

Jasper really regressed throughout the year... it was very tough to watch. He has zero confidence and the off season couldn't have come fast enough for him. I still think he can be very good... needs to practice practice practice though.

He is the perfect point guard for Smith. He can't shoot the 3 or free throws. Just like Rondo, Hawkins, and Saul.

I don't dislike Bradley, in fact quite the opposite... I just don't think he's doing anything to make me think he is a point guard. He's fine in his SG role, we just need somebody with a respectable shot at the point. I would love for Lucas to come in.

IMO, that can never be taught (how to stop it) PG's naturally have that "no-nerves" attitude. I sure hope he proves me wrong because he can make some unreal passes and has great size and length.

You know what all of you all are right when you say Bradley is more of a 2 guard than a pg. However Bradley even though he is better off being a 2, the team was better off with him at the point. Jasper just got worst as the year went on, and just really hurt the offense. Having Bradley at the point aloud us to have are best lineup out there. I mean if we get Lucas then we probably shouldn't see Bradley at the point much at all if any next year. However if we dont get Lucas, we probably would be better off with Bradley at the point, because that allows Meeks to play and start. Just because Bradley is not a true PG doesn't mean he shouldn't play it, and what is best for the team was with him at the point. Hopefully we can get Lucas though, and that would help alot. I know I honestly think if we get Lucas, we should move Jasper to the small forward spot and have him practice their all off season...

How do we know Jasper can't shoot?

He doesn't shoot. He can drive some, but he never looks to shoot.

I remember the game against UCLA, he drove the ball to the basket and shot it.

After a while he would never shoot it.

Bradley was yanked from the point because he was a turnover machine through the first quarter of the year, plus he dribbled too dang much.
