I will be there on Saturday night, well in Lexington anyway, I don't know that I'll make it out of the hotel as I am meeting family and beers.

My ticket says that I'll be in section 40 but for some reason I seem to be picturing myself sneaking down low for some better seats.

section 40 tickets might be low depending on the row...

Mr. Network, I looked for you on pressrow..

I was about equal distance from Jim Shue and Philip Hay.:D

Seriously, I was at the bottom of Section 15, directly across from the Lincoln County bench at about the free throw line.

Sorry I didn't get down to see you Mr. Network, but by the time I broke out of the back seat of the cruiser and got the cuffs off you were already gone!

A friend of mine, who you also know, was locked up a Rupp once when he decided to sell his ticket for the same scalper-price that we paid for it. It was a UK/Villanova game from the mid 90's and I still laugh about it today.

I will be there Friday & Saturday

I was there Wednesday and will be there tomorrow all day and on Sat. morning. I am row 5, section 31.:ylsuper:

For those of you that dont know where that is, I am straddling mid court in my seat.

I have met several BGPer's while at the tourney. Yesterday, Cinderalla Man, Boucher, Bird Man, and Country Boy, it was great to finallly meet you all in person. :thumb:

I have talked to The Professor and Westsider all week. I have meet many friends throught BGP thanks Guru.:ylsuper:

Also sat with the coach from St.X last night, very nice man, we had some friends in common.

Well I tried to post this once already, and I am not sure what happened. You guys were right. I have been to every Florida state HS tourney since 1971, have been to several in Ga, & Al, have been an assistant for 3 state champions, and have been the head coach for 4 state champions, and have never seen or been involved in anything like I witnessed this past week. I hope that every player and coach in Ky realize how lucky they are to be involved in such a wonderful setting. The pre-game show sent chills up & down my spine and the crowds were just incredible. I also want to say that Lexington is the most courteous city I have ever been in and I want to thank everyone for that. Also on a side note, if anyone knows the song & artist played right before tip-off of each game please let me know. If I can help it in any way, I'll never miss another Ky state tournament.

I can't agree with you more. I go to college outside the state of Kentucky and I told some of my friends at school that I was heading up to Lexington for the Boys Sweet 16. They were like, "Why, is your high school playing?" I told them "no." Then they looked at me like I had 3 eyes or something. They don't understand the tradition of this event. They don't call it "The Greatest Show in Hoops" for nothing. I was glad to be apart of it, and even more happy to have the chance to go and watch every single year.

The pre-game ceremony for the title game also sends chills up and down my spine.
