Congratulations to the Lady Royals on another fine accomplishment. I am sure Coach Euton is especially proud of this championship since it was a lot harder to earn with a shorter bench. Good luck in Bowling Green Lady Royals.

Big Kudos to Coach Euton. As hard as it may be to believe, I think she might have done an even better job of coaching than she did last year. Not too many coaches, can lose 3 starters the likes of Faulkner, Yates and Spradlin, and still repeat as a Regional Champs. Great job Coach Euton. :thumb: :thumb:

Just got back from that post game celebration. What a game! It was a clash of the titans from my prospective. The lady royals came out with a fire in their eyes I don't know if I've seen before. The post was no place for the weak as the big girls battled it out, each rebound of a missed shot brought a war underneath. Fortman tried to pick Russell up and carry them but the Royals were too much to overcome. A brilliantly coached and played ballgame. Hats off to both teams and coaches. I was completely impressed.

 

Good ball game by the refs tonight also. Not many bad calls that I could see and called the game consistantly throughout. Good job!

You're right about that. The last two games were her best I've seen as a coach. And she was going up against some dandy coaches too.

Due respect goes out to the Lady Devils. They played hard all game long and left nothing on the floor. Great effort.

I'm not taking anything away from Fortman, and certainly don't intend to degrade her, but she was not the defensive player of this tournament. Laura Terry shut down Okoro. Her 6 points for Russell were probably her lowest point total for the year. Queen scored almost 30 points on Fortman. Jessica has had a great career, but I don't feel this award was deserving.
