I for one was not 1 of the fans talking about Final 4 probability. I did think we would be a good team last year, but I didnt see us as a Final 4 team. I dont really see how the talent was there. Especially considering we were not going to have Morris. Morris for all of his shortcomings has been better this year.

Now, next year's team is obviously primed to be a whole lot better than last season's if things fall into place. If you don't see that then its useless talking to you about it.

Doyel was on Lance's show discussing the question to Coach K.

 

He said that he pushed the issue until the summer comment. At that time, he had to decide to be a real jerk instead of the sorta jerk he was at that time for asking the question. He decided to let him off at that point and not push the issue.

Doyel is great at his job, even when I don't agree with what he is writing..That said, Coach K doesn't need to worry about Greg Doyel ever in his life.

Now, if we get Patterson and Lucas I believe we will be a really good team! I think they will give us more quality depth inside and out. Patterson probably starts from day 1.

Do you mean 'should' to be: as of right now, it appears Morris will return or; he needs to come back another year?

 

Because, as an outsider, it looks to me like Randolph Morris thinks he's on the next train out. He looks turkeys-are-done.

I honestly do not know what he will do. I think he should, I dont think at this point there will be a huge amount of interest in him, maybe some.

The only thing said about him next year is Tubby said Morris would get his senior night next season. And you can take that for what its worth.

No late night laugh here I am dead serious. I have absolutely no respect and no use for Coach K and I would turn away from UK basketball if they even considered pursuing him as a coach.

I have heard of drinking the Coach K kool aid but you are at a whole other level, maybe more like the Coach K iv drip or something. Because it must be going straight to your veins for you to be so blinded by this man. And no, I would not want him at UK. I would rather take my lumps with Tubby.

I don't think Coach K is correct in his assessment it was not a stomp but I also think it is laughable that some would turn away from UK if Coach K were to come here, and I think it sad that it's actually probably true of some. There are few that are better than Coach K and he forever earned my respect in the postgame of the '92 game. There are a lot of coaches that would have done what Coach K did with Laettener, namely remove him from the game immediately, tell him that was stupid, let him cool off, and send him back in. I think Tubby (or Pitino if you want a coach that was well liked by all) would have been made a pariah if he had a player that was dominant in a tournament game and removed him for the remainder after a technical.

So many talk about what a class act Coach K supposedly is. I guess those fans did not see him berating the officials as they left the floor after he had lost to Indiana in Rupp a few years ago. What a class act indeed. :thumb:
