Where will Kentucky be next season w/o Patterson/Lucas?

Featured Replies

If Kentucky doesn't land Patterson and/or Lucas, what do we need to expect out of them? With this be the complete downfall of Tubby (if he is here), or will Stewart and Williams do some crazy good stuff with Meeks, Jasper, Stevenson, Bradley, Crawford, and Morris (if he is here).

It will be just like this team this year, and way worse if Morris goes.

We'll be better because everyone else will be worse due to graduation and the Draft.

Morris had 2 rebounds in the Florida game. I'm sure if I was a pro scout I could find another center out there somewhere that is a little more productive than that. Considering he was playing 2 kids that will possibly be pros. There is an old saying, to be a pro you have to beat a pro and so far he's not proven himself.

Finish the year (2008) at 19 - 14..... Everything is just fine..... No need to be criticle. Twabby has just had a rough last 3 - 4 years. Program is in fine shape. Whats wrong with a 5th place finish in the SEC East??? Hey we almost won 20 games. At least we beat the Vandy lose streak, every thing is great.....

Give me a break. This story is going south faster than any 20 win season can cure........................

3 letters...NIT!!!

Well, my #1 question would be who is left out there to recruit? If they lost those two, it would mean that UK was essentially bringing in one player that is worth anything in Stewart, and a project in Williams. They'd have to hit the trail to find whatever scraps were left. In other words, they'd be in bad shape because as bad as this senior class was, if AJ is the only real prospect coming from the next then this one would be worse. Patterson and Lucas are MUSTS.

I know the game and recruiting have changed over the last 20 years, but what ever happened to the days that 75% of the top 30 HS players (each year) had UK as a possibility..... then 1 - 3 of these guys commits... Now, we have to beg players to come to UK?????? So, I really don't accept the above, as a logical reason for the poor position that the recuriting is currently in...

Well you would only remove Perry from this year's team. Florida won't be as good so you can count on that being a win or maybe two.

And the freshmen will have larger roles with Meeks and Jasper getting more minutes.

I think they win 23-24 games, go to the NCAA tournament. Sweet 16 or Elite 8 appearance.

FedEX/Emery is not shipping packages from the basketball offices/UK alum straight to those 30 HS players.

As of this point, Morehead State has as good as a recruiting class as UK if they don't sign Patterson and Lucas. Word in the head is he got 2 JC Transfers that are good players.

Unless Jasper learns how to shoot, his contributions to next years team will be dribbling the ball to half court and throwing it to someone else.

He seems to want to learn and will spend many of days in "voluntary practice." That means in the gym shooting this offseason.
