Where will Kentucky be next season w/o Patterson/Lucas?

UK wont be able to help tubby out any if both of these big name players dont come to UK. My opion is that if tubby doesnt land these two than next year he will be gone. I dont think that Tubby will be able to take the critics any longer. I sure hope for his sake he gets one of the two.

I think I'm to the point where I almost hope Tubby does leave. Not because I dislike him or think he can't succeed at Kentucky, because he can, but I just feel bad for the guy. I don't think he should have to put with the unrealistic expectations of the UK fanbase. He's handled himself with class and has represented the university with great character, yet many fans want him chased out of town. He doesn't deserve it.

Call me a Tubby supporter, say I accept mediocrity, say I'm not a true UK fan. I just don't care. It's my opinion and I'm just tired of it.

I just wish he'd make the effort to do so. Make changes when he says he's going to and such.

I'm sorry, but KY is not talented enough to consider their most talented player a liability.

A good portion of UK's problems in big games can be traced to the minutes that Morris plays and minimum production occurs in all areas besides the possibility of scoring.

There is no toughness on this team and that starts with the man in the middle. Defensively, Tubby's hands are tied in what they can do because Morris has not shown a consistent ability to play defense without getting into foul trouble. Come on, 3 fouls with a bunch of time left and you reach in at midcourt on a guard. Morris can't play defense without fouling. That puts huge limitations on what the coach can do.

He is a liability in that they do need him on the court, but his inability to play defense without fouling means that he is all too often on the bench because they have to save him for late in the game. That's also a reason that he never seems to get in the flow of games (in addition to general laziness).

I think we are hurting when Morris is on the floor in areas and hurting when Morris is off the floor in other areas.

IN BIG GAMES, UK has minimal rebounding and defense with Morris in the game. When he is not, UK has minimal rebounding and defense and no scoring from the 4 or 5 position.

IN BIG GAMES, UK has scoring from the 5 spot but stagnant on offense with Morris in. No movement as they try and feed the ball into a player that is not aggressively posting. You can't have Morris pick too much or he picks up illegal screening fouls and he is already in foul trouble enough from the defensive end.

With Morris out, UK sees more movement from all of the other players and has offensive movement that creates opportunities for others that are not there with Morris in. But the pressure is now on the perimeter to knock down shots.

I will agree with you that UK is best with a MOTIVATED and AGRESSIVE Morris in the game. That is a no-doubter. Unfortunately, we haven't seen that in the 2007 calendar year. Or at least I don't remember seeing it for a complete game.

According to scout Lucas is going to make his decision sometime at the end of the month of march and Patterson is to announce on April 3.
