I was thinking that exact same thing.:p :sssh: Lots of the people that were crying foul on Kobe are goin the other way on this one.

 I actually laughed at this...I remember that play...next time I guess ole Gerald should go ahead and throw the punch.

Not sure there is a UK player with that much heart and drive.

First, if it was a UK player, I would say it was a cheap shot and be disappointed that he used such poor judgement.

Second, the only person on the team that has that kind of heart is Bradley and he is too small to actually cause any damage.

I don't like either team, so you can't say Im biased one way or the other... I just can't make myself believe that was an intentional action...

Except to himself...:sssh:

Don't you remember when he punched the basket in practice and broke his hand??

At least he cared enough to punch the basket.

Since punching the basket and breaking your hand sends such a good image to your team mates...

Whatever buddy. I'll take Bradley's heart over anyone on the team.

Okay breaking your hand throwing a punch is not very smart. But the point is Bradley, for all the bonehead things he does from time to time does play with a lot of heart and a lot of desire. There is no denying that. Also Meeks plays with a lot of effort and heart as well.

As for the actual play you can't say Henderson's only intention was to block the shot. He was obviously trying to foul Hanborough very hard. I don't think he intended to break his nose, but he did want to give him a hard foul.

Has anyone brought up that none of Hansborough's teammates came to help him? You would have never known anything had happened by looking at their bench and his teammates. You would think there would have been pushing and words exchanged amongst the players, but didn't see any of that. Does this not seem odd?

Again did anyone actually watch the last 3 mins of the game? There was several elbows being swung during tie ups. This whole thing was coming. Henderson saw a chance and took it. Simple as that. He had no reason to fly in the lane with 5 seconds left as fast, and as hard as he did, for a simple block when the game was out of reach.

Too bad UNC didn't recruit Bradley... I guarantee you he would have taken up for Hansborough in that incident. That is what shocks me most.

I agree.

Just glanced over the last few pages, but a couple of things on my mind on this.

1.Henderson didnt intend to hit (see break) his nose.

2.Henderson DID intend to put a good hit on Hansbrough. I dont think he ever knew where he was going to hit him, but the intent was there and he happened to get him in the nose. Basically worst case scenario and b/c of that he deserves what he got.

3.Coach K is nuts. I know you have to defend your player, but after hearing what Doyel said to him and defending Henderson here, he has to know Henderson intended to lay a good lick on Hansbrough.

4.I'm not surprised at those defending Henderson. I swear I feel better about my posts putting what I really feel, than if I were to just try to stir things up.
