Great win by Lewis County over a team that evidently had a lot to overcome during the season.

Very suprising win for Lewis, then again considering some of their past district wins not really. I though that GCHS would win this one desspite all the controversy they have had.

GCHS there will be better days and seasons ahead, I admire the players at GC for playing hard through all the so called adults childish behavior. Imo the only ones NOT to blame for all te mess at GC are the kids!

Hampton's magic is strong once again....year after year, his teams perform their best when needed the most.

Any word on the Lewis County player that was hurt just as the 1st half ended? He was laying on his stomach and surrounded by adults.

 

The atmosphere there was great. The gym was probably 90% packed. The bands were battling back and forth. The GC cheerleaders looked awesome, as usual.

 

This game was also one of the most brutally physical games I've ever seen.

This is a very sad ending for the Greenup team. Those poor players have had to go through a lot this year. It isnt fair for them at all.

GCHS has to be one of the worst basketball coaching positions in Kentucky. First they fire a very successful coach just for taking his team to Hooters while his team was playing in the Sweet 16, even though it was prior approved. And now this.

I think the Greenup job is 1 of the top 5 in the region ----sure there are politics but it's funny how winning takes care of alot of that . You can't hire an immature person for such a high profile job. Please don't even attempt to argue that Mr Hick's behavior the 1st 2 years on the job was one of any maturity. I took a family member to the wheelersburg,ohio game at GCHS 2 years , the family member said he would never come back because the actions of the coach were so embarrassing. My view and that of what will be a bunch of applicants is that it's a talent rich spot, just looking for the right guy. Larry Bird :thumb:

If this time around is anything like the last two times there will be very little interest in the GC job. I predict 5 apps or less. Very few coaches want to start a new job with the coach that was just fired sitting in the gym watching every move you make.
