any insider know how many applied last time ? LB

I heard a insider say about week ago they are kicking around the idea GC BB job couple with also being the school AD. Meaning you can pay the coach more money than normally if he is AD also. Also heard at that game Joe Hampton name mention a few times. This was a week ago at GCHS when they were playing East Carter.

 

I am sure they will get Coach Sutton a hard look also. He is well liked by BB kids' Parents. Hard to judge him with everything that when on this season.

As a GC supporter here's what I would like ----not to take a chance with an unknown commodity. I think a few established coaches were passed over last time (1 for 100% sure) to take a guy that was young and didn't have much a track record . He brought plenty of energy but didn't quite have the "gravitas" to use an old politic phrase. The next coach should be an established guy. with all the turmoil the program needs a proven leader. Not intentionally trying to say Coach Sutton or Smith should'nt get at least a look or interview but neither have been a head coach before. Just seems like a time for a proven established coach. LB

Ive heard that Coach Hicks has applied for both the coaching job and the AD position. Does anyone know a time table for the jobs. Ive heard Randy Ward is wanting his old job back.
