I think it's safe to say that district alignment is based on geography, not what the size of the school is. Augusta/Bracken/St. Pat just need to be patient and develop their younger kids, after Miller leaves, the Royals will drop back a level or two. If I remember correct, Bracken and St Pat posted victories over the Royals back in the '98 season or '97.

That is understood Jay, but honestly do you think the district is aligned correctly? I remember a couple of years ago when is was done geographically and Bracken and Augusta, same county, different district. Explain that one Mr. Bilas?

I respect Mason Co. basketball, coach O'Hearn and all the Mason Co. tradition but its little comments like this from some Mason Co. fans that upset me. I'm from Bracken County and I know that there is a decent chance that Mason Co. will blow us out of the gym, but people don't have to make goofball comments like this. Maybe thats why all other 16 teams in the 10th region root against Mason Co. during the season.

Yes as a mason county fan, i dont like comments like that either, it makes all of us look bad. I gave bracken their props earlier. And I give deming theirs too, especially since I have a good friend who isnt too shabby that plays there. (Mr. Massey)

Well seems like everyone is bitter over Mason County for beeing in the same district, thats not their fault. The State makes the districts up. But Mason County is not in the ALL Class A tournament and you didn't win that tournament So whats the excuse for that??

This Deming grad was at that game was at that game too. O'hearn is a really nice guy if you get my drift!!!!

 

How was he a nice guy? If I recall correctly it was either tied or Deming was up 1 at the half. If Russ Middleton dosen't hit 2 threes at the end of the 3rd it is only a 6 or 8 point game going into the 4th. I think Mason was over looking Deming which was understandable. But, when it all came down Deming gave Mason a rather good game. O'hearn didn't give Deming nothing.

 

I don't think you dislike the Royals as much as you say. Wouldn't suprise me if you get a pay check from them for all the positive P.R. you give them.

I'm about as neurtral a party as you can get in the area on hoops, and to be honest, I love what Jay has done at BC, but this one has the potential to be an absolute massacre.
