Easy win for Mason County

Using Jay's logic, I think Mason should be in a district with Scott County, LexCath and maybe Clark. Good competitive district with similar sized schools!!

LittleRoyal is right. Gary Dearborn of Pendleton County is on the Board of Control for this area. To top it off Dearborn was chairman of the committee that realigned all the districts a couple of years ago. Dearborn was the A.D. and principal at Harrison County before going to Pendleton. You can see how he helped both of those schools with the realignment. He placed them with Nicholas County and Deming very small schools. He got Harrison away from Bourbon County and Paris. Better yet he got Pendleton County away from Brossart and Campbell County. You can't tell me this was done simply on geography. This is why I think it is funny that Harrison and Pendleton have drawn each other the past two years in the District. Making one of them go home early. Only serves them right. Thank You Mr. Dearborn for your wonderful job of realignment. Next time buy an atlas of Kentucky before you do it.

I think it's safe to say that district alignment is based on geography, not what the size of the school is. Augusta/Bracken/St. Pat just need to be patient and develop their younger kids, after Miller leaves, the Royals will drop back a level or two. If I remember correct, Bracken and St Pat posted victories over the Royals back in the '98 season or '97.

St. Patrick won the District in 2000.

Bracken just doesn't have the horses Mason does. Mason isn't the third ranked team in the state for nothing.

Right now I think the districts are fine. But, I think they should seed them and put more emphasis on the regular season games so that you don't have to play Mason in the first round of the districts. I would rather control my position in the district than to let a coin decide it. It's not like St. Patrick, Bracken and A-Town are worlds apart overall. What does everyone think?...seed the 39th or not?

No doubt. If its such a problem for Mason to go to StPat and Augusta(st pat is understandable that gym is way to small. Augusta's would be fine trust me.) Play the Augusta game @ Bracken Co. and the St. Pat game Downtown in the Maysville gym.

And its comments like that, that make the entire County of Bracken(BCHS and AHS), look bad. Its no wonder most people from outside the County think that we have no knowlege of the game

I honestly Think that Bracken has a chance in this one. I've played this Mason team, and it's definitely not their best group.

 

We had them on the ropes for the first half of the game (but 2 halves = a whole) Needless to say, we got trampled in the end.

 

If Mason comes out overlooking Bracken like they did us, they might end up in another tight position.

Agree, what I meant to say is that Mason should not overlook any team, regardless of what their record is.
