SK 65 Scott 46

Score per Riherds/Khsaa, any reports from the game? Seems like a good showing by SK, held a high scoring Eagles team to less than 50 pts seems to be positive.

Too Much Hurd. 27 points on the night. Hester continues to move better each game. He knocked down 3 threes for his only points but seemed to recover a lot better on defense tonight. Zach Layne doesn't miss; Elbert had about 12 or so. The guy that really looked strong tonight was Kohrs. He must have had double digit boards and scored like 6 points.

That's what they need from Kohrs, boards and a few junk buckets and free throws offensively.

SK looked better tonight than they have in a while, hope they get hot for the stretch run! How ya been Neerfan?

Nice to see you back Hopper, save a spot for me down at Henry Co and at the Hyatt. I've only been to three games this season, Oldham, Ryle and Shelby wish I could see more games but I plan on seeing some post season action if we can make a run. I work with one of your old schoolmates, Kevin Lang, he also went to the OC game, I saw you on the opposite side of the stands but I'm too lazy to walk across to the home side.

I'm still waiting for Tiger1, he's usually quick on the draw when the Eagles win, but rather slow when they lose. lol

Congrats to the Pioneers. Clearly the better team on Friday night. Unfortunately, Scott never got into the game...

Hester's a good defender and very good ball handler, perhaps him "running" the offense, and saving himself for defense could be a bit of a game plan,.....

Sounds like a good call to me til he's 100% or atleast 90 and they really need him..

Hester played alot better in this game. Only 9 points but he had to have at least 10 assists if not 15. He was moving much better but still doesnt have that explosivness to the basket. Once that comes back then I think you could say hes 100%. Kohrs was an absolute beast last night and Hurd was just simply too big for the Eagles. Sharp had a good game for Scott although he dribbles the ball an awful lot. ( but when your needed to be 75% of an offense i guess you might do that ) . The Pioneers defense really impressed me tonight and needs to stay that way going into tourny time.

Never would have predicted a 19 point blow out. My observation of Scott is that when Sharp tries to do too much they struggle offensively. He has had an all-region type of year but there have been stretches where he tries to shoulder the whole load.

Kohrs had 12 rebounds. They guy isn't huge, he just goes after the lose ball with reckless abandon.

Good to see Justin playing well again--Rebounds are probably a throwback to his "Tar Heels' days"!!

Not what I expected out of this game, rivalries are usually closer than this, but this game was never in doubt for the Pioneers. They started fast and never looked back. Hurd dominated the game, way too much size for Scott. It looked like they almost felt bad for going to him sometimes because it was so easy for him to score. He shot 13-16 from the field. Hester played well, but still isn't driving as much as he was. But if he can continue to hit shots, he'll be nearly unstoppable once he's 100%. Layne was 3-3 from the field and 2-2 at the line. Great game by Kohrs, but he'll get called for throwing those 'bows someday.

Good win for the Pioneers, it's about time they looked up their potential, it's been awhile. Good luck to the Eagles the rest of the way.

Nice in for the pioneers and congrats on sweeping through the kenton co. championships, when was the last time somebody did that. Hurd was a man among boys tonight Scott had no answer for him. Sharp put up his usual points, Miller did not come to play tonight, he was scrappy on the boards but he did not find any rhythm. SK has to be the team to beat in the 8th.

On second thought I don't care how many 'bows Kohrs throws. I love that kid. When he got an and one play I stood up and cheered. I love the way he plays.
