SK 65 Scott 46

Never would have predicted a 19 point blow out. My observation of Scott is that when Sharp tries to do too much they struggle offensively. He has had an all-region type of year but there have been stretches where he tries to shoulder the whole load.

Your observation of Sharp is incorrect. He had to do all the work on the offensive side last night or Scott would have lost by 35-40. Without Sharp, Scott doesn't have even half their wins this year.

Hester played alot better in this game. Only 9 points but he had to have at least 10 assists if not 15. He was moving much better but still doesnt have that explosivness to the basket. Once that comes back then I think you could say hes 100%. Kohrs was an absolute beast last night and Hurd was just simply too big for the Eagles. Sharp had a good game for Scott although he dribbles the ball an awful lot. ( but when your needed to be 75% of an offense i guess you might do that ) . The Pioneers defense really impressed me tonight and needs to stay that way going into tourny time.

You are right, Sharp is 3/4 of Scott's offense! Case proven last night.

I'm still waiting for Tiger1, he's usually quick on the draw when the Eagles win, but rather slow when they lose. lol

I just got my first chance to respond. Sorry for the slow delay Neerfan:D

SK's game plan worked to perfection. Get the ball to Hurd and he scores everytime even with a separated right shoulder. Elbert and Kohr's have nice games also. Hester is working his way back into shape.

Bad shooting night for the Eagles. Scott struggles against quality big men.

Congrats to SK and best of luck in the 8th region.

I have been a big supporter of Sharp all year and in the post even said that he has had an all region year. When he has been very good this year he moves the ball and gets teammates involved. When he has struggled this year he pounds the ball and takes his teammates out of the game.

I would agree that without Sharp the Eagles would really struggle but without teammates who knock down shots he wouldn't be among the assist leaders in the area. Those same teammates also spend a lot of time covering Sharps tail on the defensive side and setting picks so Sharp can do his thing by scoring the ball.

I agree with you on this 100%, Sharp is a great player, but when his team mates aren't involved, things happened like last night, granted last night a lot of them had off nights.

Sometimes he has to pound the ball because if he doesn't the team just doesn't score. One thing I can tell you is that Sharp doesn't need or use picks very often because he can get to the basket by himself.

As Hester continues to play himself back into form, the Pioneers are definitely the team to beat in the 8th. I don't think some people realize that you can't miss a couple of months and step back into your normal game right away. Hester is a great h.s. player and I love watching him play. Good luck to both teams in your respective regions. IMHO, SK has to be a favorite to get to Rupp but it would be nearly impossible for Scott to get there in a much more difficult region.

I disagree, until SC is beaten they are the team to beat.

Yep, 0 for 2 since joining the 8th, hope that changes in a couple of weeks!

That's just an old cliche. SK is a better team than Shelby and showed it by going to Shelby playing about as bad as I have seen them play and only losing by 4. SK is the favorite in the 8th and I know you really believe this just dont want to say it and jinx the NEERS.

Idk, I would agree with you. But how can SK be the team to beat, when they've already been beat? I'm pulling for them too, and I think they are the better team, but for now, it's probably Shelby.
