Tilghman is back at home for the first time since September 11th and will take on a Warren East team that they have handled pretty well the last 3 years, winning by margins of 50, 49, 50 and 38 the last 4 games in that span. PT is coming back after a week off. The game before, they arguably played their best overall game of the season in a game they went to Logan, who they struggled with last year and took a commanding 37-0 lead at halftime.

As I looked at stats in their off week, I noticed just how efficient PT qb Xavier Isable has been in his first season with the team. He has completed 64.1% of his passes for 248 pass yards per game, but what's most impressive is his 23 pass touchdowns with zero interceptions.

Isaac James leads the team in rushing with 98 ypg and a 9.3 yards per carry average. JaAubrey Sherrill has been a nice addition as well as he averages 6.5 yards per carry and has 7 rushing td's. As a team, PT averages 169.6 rush yards a game.

Avery Thompson, Chance McPike and Anthony Crumble lead the way in the receiving corps, which is deep if they need it. Thompson hauls in 89.0 yds a game, McPike 82.3 and Crumble, 59.1. That's tough to deal with at the high school level.

Before I get into the Warren East side of the offense, I want to talk about their defense. They have 3 shutouts this season already and give up only 9.14 ppg. The most staggering stat I have seen on maybe any team this season is their tackles for loss total. They are credited with 76! That blows my mind. That is a staggering number through 7 games. For perspective, Tilghman's defense is really good as well and they tend to play behind the line of scrimmage a lot and they have 32 TFL's. So that's definitely something PT will have to be aware of going into this game. This defense looks like they'll definitely get after you.

Warren East qb Brandon McCluskey passes at 97.9 ypg but only has 4 td's and 4 int's thus far. He is also their leading rusher at 49.1 ypg and 7.5 yards per carry. They do have 4 guys who average between 27.5 up to his 49.1 per game, so they hand it off to several different guys and as a team they average 151.9 rush yards per game.

Azzarrious Douglas leads Warren East in receiving as he has just under half their receiving yards for the year. He pulls in his receptions at 19.4 yards a reception, so he'll get behind you if you aren't careful. He also averages 33.9 yds a game rushing on an impressive 9.1 yards per carry.

I think just looking at numbers, this Warren East offense doesn't have enough to go toe to toe with the PT offense. They are going to have to hang their hats on the fact that their defense has played really, really well. Just how well against an offense of this caliber is the question.

Can they cause enough disruption to possibly keep this close? Does Tilghman continue to put up big numbers and in a hurry as they have previously?

Let us hear your thoughts.

This is another example of a game that looks better on paper relative to how it will likely play out. The Raiders are having a good season, but I don't think they're ready for what Tilghman will throw at them. That WE defense is about to get stretched.

Tornado by four scores.

PT-56

WE-7

Just way too much firepower from PT for this one to be close.

I think Tilghman is the Darkhorse in 4A. Highlands and Boyle are the frontrunners, but if Tilghman can play at home through the semi-finals, they will have a shot.

I like Warren East alot, but the water is too deep here! Tilghman rolls!

Massey Ratings have the score at PT 47-6 over Warren East. I would like to think WE could potentially get a turnover or two and grind the game and slow it down. It has seemed like this WE team is usually a TD better than the scores have indicated so far this season. It is a long bus drive to Paducah though.

Love what the Raiders are doing, but PT is just too much. Give me the Tornados.

PT- 49

WE- 13

Paducah Tilghman 49-14.

One other note - PT’s QB, Xavier Isable, is playing against his former team.

I figure that should make this game a little more interesting, on top of Warren East having a better year.

WE has a excellent defensive coordinator and may be the toughest defense PT has faced this year but unfortunately their offense hasn’t scored a lot against bad teams I think WE defense will slow PT a little maybe hold them to 35 or 42 but they probably won’t score and if so no more than one touchdown give me PT 42-7.
