Is Coach Eviston in the hot seat at CCH?

Featured Replies

As I have always said about any HS coach of any sport anywhere:

If your players are better as seniors than they were as Freshmen and they are prepared for college, junior (community college), trade school, or the workforce, then you have done your job excellently and should not be on any hot seats. HS sports should never be about winning or losing.

I know that's not reality, but that isn't a coach issue. That is a parent/booster issue that is complained into an administration issue.

Never blame the coach, blame you.

I can assure that CovCath is not going to fire EE. His record speaks for itself: Overall Record at CovCath: 124-33 (79%) Overall vs Highlands: 10-6 (62.5%) Overall vs Beechwood: 10-2 (83%) This year's

  • I always laugh at these posts. Eviston has proved that he is a very good coach. They play a good schedule that will probably be easier when they get bumped up to 5A. I think they would be hard pressed

This is always one of those "be careful" situations because there's never a guarantee you get someone capable as a replacement. We've seen lots of programs across the state wrecked by coaches getting

Any person wanting coach Eviston out, are probably the same people saying the Bengals should move on from Joe Burrow. Just crazy talk!

Posts like this are why we have a coaching shortage. Coach has won MULTIPLE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!

This year's team is very good, just not as good as Highlands and Beechwood, who are IMO, exceptional! Congrats to them! They have good programs and good kids and deserve it.

CovCath has never had success in football and all sports combined like it has under this administration. In the last 15 years they've had 16 state champioinships and 20 runners-up across 10 sports. Obviously, Rowe and Bacigalupo understand the importance of sports when it comes to enrollment and know what they're doing. They're too smart to fire the guy who took their football program to another level.  End of discussion!
