I enjoy bluebird for lunch.:flame:

just pick a Conner reject as head coach.

I crack me up.

Me too....

The better question is :D .....Do you want to bet (you name it) that Coach Brossart who had to be disappointed on the day Conner told him he wasn't what they were looking for, is sad today that he didn't get the Conner job.:thumb:

God indeed works in mysterious ways.....:sssh:

Finally, being the head coach of Conner, or being the head coach of CovCath, you tell me....where would you rather coach at?

As one who is close to both schools, let me say that both would be great coaching opportunities. Yes, CCH has a lot going for it. Conner has 1400 kids of which I'll assume roughly 700 are boys. The right coach can get some excitement going and that will lead to more boys coming out.

I'm sure Dave Brossart would be thrilled with either opportunity.

Me too....

Me personally that is easy to answer.....Conner.

Care to explain why? I think Conner would be a very good coaching opportunity, but I've always thought of Covington Catholic as one of the premier coaching positions in the state. Obviously that's just my opinion, so I'm interested in hearing others.

I agree. I think Conner is probably the better paying job but Cov Cath is the more prestigious. Lets don't forget, Conner went undefeated like 2 yrs in a row didnt they and Stellman couldnt even get them to the State Semis. Trosper is a Boone Co guy and Brossart used to teach at CCH.

Alma mater!

That is why I said me personally. And yes CCH is a premier program.

State Semis? Conner went undefeated in 03 and 04 losing to Shelby in round one in 03 and to Boone in round two in 04.

Conner showed something alot of us have forgotten in todays society loyalty!

May I politely suggest that before you go painting your alma mater (and mine) into the role of Benedict Arnold, you dig a little deeper than your cronies' opinion sitting around the Saddle Club? Let's assume that if Mike didn't get the job and Dave did that there are probably good reasons for it....how about giving them the benefit of the doubt.

H.S. May I politely suggest you do the digging before you insult the people (not cronies!) of Saddle Club. FYI, I do not drink nor do I frequent this bar.

Who did I insult? You on the other hand have accused the administration of being dis-loyal and the entire school (and its 500+ boys) of losing its "Spirit That Will not die."

I like the Saddle Club, and while not a drinker, have been there on numerous occasions. Wasn't insulting them at all.

There very well could be a reason that Mike continues not to get the jobs he pursues (Campbell Co., Ryle, CovCath twice)...that is all I was saying. Mike is a nice guy, and by all accounts, a very good h.s. coach. I'm simply saying before you start painting everyone with your labels, understand that there could be more to the story.

Between the "a" and "t" on Grammar Street.

;):D

H.S. I would like you to find a post where I have said anything about the students, gradutes or family of Cov. Cath. My first post on this subject was directed toward the administration not the 500+ boys. For you to try and make it look like I was degrading these young men is disgusting. If you would like to discuss this further PM me.

IMO, the students are what live up to "With a Spirit That Will Not Die", not the staff. The teachers and administration are there to do a job. It's up to the students to make it a fun place to be. I guarantee you the faculty is not involved when the student body comes up with the cheers of the colonel crazies to root their teams on in a sport.

It shouldn't matter if the coach went to CCH or taught at CCH. The players just care about a coach that can get the job done. And the team is what matters, right?
