Pabst last TD was a 1 YD reception from Queen, Pabst didn't have any carries tonight, Beechwood's ones ran 9 plays of offense tonight. 2 rushes and 7 passes.

This is just another reason why districts need to go away. With the state already moving to using RPI in round 2 next year, they might as well just make it RPI for the whole playoffs, and get rid of districts. As no one benefits in games like this. Beechwood and most of their district opponents get really nothing out of these games.

Agree, this game and the Highlands/Harrison County game are both examples of why the KHSAA should do away with districts. Let teams all play a schedule that suits them.

I totally agree, O Cath has the next 3 games as district games and none of the three will be competitive. Same can be said for so many of the top teams around the state. It needs to be fixed.

Without deep dive look, I disagree. Off the top of my head I'll say there are maybe 15 schools in the state that deal with this. For the other 215 or so schools in the state, district play is good.

By memory, I think KHSAA heard you and put Mayfield in 6 team districts with realignment. Now OC has the #teams advantage.

While that may be true. All those schools in those districts that you say are good, they would then still be perfectly fine to still scheduled each other then.

With the state already moving to RPI in second round starting next year. The whole reason for district play almost is already gone anyways. As where you finish is the district only matters in the first round then. So district standings is almost mute anyways. So might as well take the next step and make RPI for all playoffs, and get rid of districts. Then those districts that are competitive can still schedule each other if they choose to.
