How does a kid not get ejected for that?

Another good question would be why are the players and coaches on the sideline standing so far down by the goal line?

  • Thanks, I missed your response. Additionally, my thinking is it should be the three game suspension option. In my opinion, Driver is out of control.

Regarding Driver's body slam, some research on the rules on ChatGPT said:

If Player A picked up Player B, lifted him off the ground, and deliberately threw/body-slammed him onto the turf, the important question for the officials would be whether the act was:

  • merely incidental contact during a football play, or

  • deliberate, excessively violent contact that created an obvious risk of serious injury.

A deliberate lift-and-slam is the kind of conduct that could reasonably be ruled a flagrant personal foul and an ejection, depending on exactly what happened and the official's judgment.

if he had been ejected that would have earned him a three game suspension since he's already been suspended once this year.

They get from 10 to 10. They looked ok to me.

I trout it was at the 25 years line for players, usually the end of the white box.

I would like to know what the rule is for "tackles like that."

Anyone?

The ref stated he would either need to hold the player midair until the whistle is blown and set him down, or slowly and softly lay him down from that position.

So clearly a penalty. Was a penalty called?

What I posted above is from NFHS which is what KY is supposed to follow.

That play has found it's way to Bleacher Report today. Gonna be a lot of people who will have an opinion on that. Should be good entertainment.

What a bright spot for Clay Pendygraft to get his first action of the season last night. Had 3 tackles for a loss in the first quarter. Sophomore Hudson Spoonamore with I believe his first start also had a great night. Boyle's defense came ready with a pick 6 , 12 tackles for a loss, and held Ballard to -15 yards total up to when the backups came in the last position and gave up a couple of first downs.

From the clip I saw - should have been an ejection.

Intent to injure - totally uncalled for.

And that is the reason why. Also, he is a Mr. Football candidate and the refs wanted to get out of Danville in one piece. lol
