Jack Pyburn has signed a contract with Tampa as a undrafted free agent and now is suing the NCAA to go back to college football, along with 16 other individuals. What are your thoughts on this? I have a few but want to see if I'm thinking in the wrong vein.

The argument being pushed revolves around the NCAA's new 5 for 5. You now get 5 years to complete 5 seasons of competition. This new rule applies to everyone in college now and going forward. The class that just graduated was the first class to not get a covid year. Those few classes before them got a covid year. Therefore, the argument is that those before them and after them get 5 years, but not them. A court ruling has allowed those student-athletes return to school, but the NCAA has an open appeal against the ruling. My daughter's soccer team just pulled in 2 girls that graduated last year.

A court upheld the NCAA's appeal today, so now those players are ineligible again.

The State Attorney General for Georgia, is telling the SEC commissioner if he has to kick LSU out of the league. Leave it up to Lane Kiffin to get everything up in a whirlwind.

Pyburn plays for the Chiefs now.

Just breaking a Federal Judge in Baton Rouge just granted an injunction to Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris who are now cleared to return to college football. Both players played for Kiffin at Ole Miss and planned to play for him at LSU. Rosters have to be submitted tomorrow and now it is up to LSU and Kiffin if he will put them on the Tigers active rosters. 🍿

While Sankey was testifying today the SEC filed suit in Federal Court in Alabama against LSU and Lane Kiffen specifically.

Kiffin decided late tonight that Wright and Harris will now not be on the LSU roster for tomorrow's game vs. Clemson.

If I read correctly it would only take 10 schools to vote LSU out. While I don't "Think" it will happen, it would be earth shattering in the world of college football. Additionally a LOT of Attorneys would be in "billable hours" heaven.

That's good sports talk but I don't see any way that this would ever happen.

That will never happen, but at least they are laying down the threat.
