Is he ok, how long is he expected to be out? that's def a hit to the defense as he’s their hard hitting safety. I did noticed during the scrimmages Shemwell has been playing a lot of safety. There’s not much of a drop off there if any. As for running back O has a stable with Walker and Kindle as the back ups they’ll be more than ok in that department. O has done a good job of building depth.

Confirmed he is out. Loaded at RB. Not sure who becomes SS now. I would say younger Shemwell but he has been out.

I heard possible hamstring injury and could be out for some time.

Roney a real good safety for us last year transferred in from Ohio he started all last year and will now anchor the secondary with Illinois state signee Shemwell who is a blur. Thomas kid played safety for Evansville Harrison, younger Shemwell is a load there too. There is really good depth and offensively we will be solid as well as defensively but defense Green was a very good safety nothing got past him. The depth is as good as it’s been at O. Defense is very good - next man up.

The crowd will be enthusiastically pro Devils, Owensboro is brimming with confidence, and X is under new leadership. All good reasons to vote for the reigning 5A champs

And yet, I still feel compelled to pick the Tigers. They're never lacking for good football players and they have a numbers advantage over everyone not named Trinity. I think whatever growing pains they may experience this Friday will be overcome by a renewed energy that Landis is injecting into the program. Just a gut feeling thing.

I'll take the X-Men in a hard fought four quarter battle.

Coach Landis has a lot of energy and regardless of talent the team will play hard for him. Counting on Hudl St. X has around 115 sophomore through senior players, but you can only play eleven at a time.

I'm taking Owensboro 21-14.

Tre Shemwell was playing some safety against South Warren and I’ve heard Khalil Shemwell is also back and able to work in secondary. Numbers are huge for O this year, 95 on varsity. Think Kindle and Walker will share carries. Also Dillard can play secondary as well not sure if he will. Green was really the only 2-way player although Tre Shemwell plays some WR. When he does that puts 2 guys 4.4 and 4.5 out there. Kindle I believe ran a 4.54 at UA summer camp. Haven’t seen Walkers numbers but he can fly too. As athletic as O always is, this could be the fastest all around speed they’ve had. Pullom very fast off edge. Should be a great game!

Pullom, will be the biggest difference maker for this years match up. He should get plenty of pressure on the QB. He will need to have is best performance yet if the Devils want to pull this off.
