Hopefully they can get a coach on board soon to get the numbers such that that can play this season.

Before schools run off a successful coach (like the one prior to Yeast), maybe they need to consider that the grass is not always greener.

Hearing it’s Craig….. best scenario.   Those kids have been beaten down.  It’s going to take time to recover and the schedule does not help at all.  Yeast was a stupid scheduler.   I’d say the community will like that hire.  And now basketball and football coaches  played there and promote playing multiple sports.  Hope the community gets behind them.  (If what I’m hearing is true).

Seems interesting to me that they would advertise on social media that they are taking applications, just to name somebody interim on staff? (I’m not saying they shouldn’t) But just would be curious as to why take applications if it’s already determined? Could have easily named an interim at this point in the year when announcing Coach Yeast resignation and would think most would accept that.

The Craig's are great people. Tommy Lee is as good as it gets; he's also a very good football coach! Wish him and his dad the best of luck! 

Hearing crazy stuff now.   Just a typical crap show with this AD.   I think the community and players feel the same about Craig.   But leave it up to the AD to screw this one up.  But maybe it’s all rumors.  

Hearing Tony McCombs with Jason Dunn as a package deal as a possibility now.   Anyone else hearing this?

McCombs and Dunn is a very new rumor.  The big one is Sutton that just left Mercer.  Took Frankfort High.  Was on staff last year. I highly doubt the Dunn McCombs rumors is true but crazier things have happened. 

I heard Mercer is kicking the tires on several current head coaches. Mercer pays a much higher teaching salary than some surrounding schools, and are prepared to make a pretty big offer to some coaches. I have heard that Travis Burns took a phone a call but eventually said no thanks. I also heard that Levi Rogers got a call too.

I can verify that Travis Burns has been called, and is listening to the offer. Word is that it is very lucrative. Pulaski admin may need to get serious about if they want to keep their Coach or not. 

Wow on some of this.  I heard Mercer also reached out to Dennis Johnson so maybe the Woodford admin needs to get serious too. 

Three very good coaches mentioned above. Mercer would be fortunate to land any. Although I would not be surprised if they land none of them. 

I am also told Coach Dantzler is interested in the Mercer job.
