Former Belmont commit and Madison Central player, Jake Feldhaus has committed to South Florida. 

I think this could really work out well for USF.

I know my thoughts will really kick up a lot of flames, but I still think UK missed the boat on this kid, not only once but twice.

I not saying he would have been their savior next year or even the next, but he more than likely would have been a four year player paying dividends in year three and four. Just what we need, some foundation players.

But the vocal fans would not be happy if he wasn't playing or saying he should have went somewhere he could play.

Oh, I agree, but that's part of pope's job to defuse that bull crap.

Maybe he will transfer in for year 3 and 4.

In today’s world he is going to South Florida “for now.” By the time he’s a senior there’s no telling where all he'll have played if he is still a student-athlete in four years. 

He’s similar to a lot of players these days in that he needs to learn to shoot from the outside.  He only shot 25% from three point range as a senior.  His best strategy is to go somewhere with a good shooting coach and put in the work.  It needs to be somewhere he can get on the floor. A year or two invested in improving his shot and he could get a lot of good opportunities.

I don't see him getting much clock at the USF. Also, never really bought into the hype with this kid. The family name gives a lot of luster and no one loves a legacy player more than me but Moss and Spurlock were both better. He isn't even remotely on the level of being good enough to play at UK, anyone thinks that has "unforgettable blinders" on.

Agree, what little clock he gets there will be more than he would have gotten had he gone to UK.

Honestly, how many times did you see he play in person his senior year?

His Dad was a very good football player at Mason County HS. Would not be surprised to see Jake end up in the NFL playing TE.

That would be very hard for someone to do who never played any high school or college football.  I don't ever recall Deron playing any high school football, to the best of my knowledge golf was their secondary sport.
