Ballard punched their ticket to the 7th Region finals with a 78-76 overtime win over Male in the quarterfinals and a 75-55 semifinal win over Manual, and St. X made their way to the finals via a 105-50 shellacking of Central in the quarterfinals and a 61-46 win in the semis over arch-rival Trinity.

The 23-6 Bruins and the 25-7 Tigers will face each other for the third time this season in the 7th Region Championship on Monday, with a 7:00pm tip at Valley High School. St. X beat Ballard 62-60 in the LIT quarterfinals back on January 14th when an attempt at a buzzer-beater by Ballard's Jaden Culver missed the mark. Then Ballard exacted revenge on St. X on February 6th when they traveled to St. X and took down the Tigers 73-70. St. X had a chance to tie the game up on a three-pointer in the final seconds but the shot bounced off the rim and the Bruins came away with the win.

This game promises to be one of the most interesting regional finals this year. Who advances on to the Sweet 16?

It will be a dog fight, better have plenty of security. LOL

Don’t see this one being any different than the first two meetings. Close and will come down to the final seconds. Should be a lot of fun and whoever advances will have definitely earned it.

Massey Ratings have it St. X 73-68. Both prior meetings were closer than that.
