ESPN put out today the top 100 ranked 2026 Free Agents. The Steelers two free agents RB Rico Dowdle was ranked #42 and CB Jamel Dean was ranked at #50.

Steelers signed Heyward to an extension! 

Safety Darnell Savage signed!

The Steelers until they get a QB, are still playing that middle of the road fringe playoff team level, that is no real threat to do much in the playoffs.

Dowdle rushed for 1076 yards but he had 519 of those yards on just 3 games. He had 7 of his other 14 league games with some horrible running stats:

*3 carries 12 yards

*6 carries 9 yards

*9 carries 32 yards

*10 carries 30 yards

*6 carries 38 yards

*9 carries 29 yards

*7 carries 10 yards

** plus 3 other games combined that he had 41 carries for only 139 yards. So in 10 of his 17 games he rushed for less than 50 yards 7 of those 10 he rushed for less than 40 yards. Maybe there is a reason he is now on his 6th team in just his 6th season.

He will do just fine backing up Warren and had more yards than Bengals leading rusher!
