Looked bad. I hope that report is right. When is the MRI?

From how Chase was talking after practice and how he even stayed out there after. I don't think there is a plan to get an MRI, as Chase and Bengals both didn't seem to concerned with it.

With that said, I would do an MRI just to make sure its fine and not something that could lead to a bigger injury.

Nope. I would have been happy with either Bains or Downs. However, they got a guy who is proven and should help them win even more right now.

If the Bengals aren’t concerned, then I can go ahead and start my SAME OLE BENGALS rant. I have it loaded but this off season it hasn’t been needed. The organization has been better. In this instance what harm is there in getting it fully checked out, including the imaging. Better safe than sorry.

It must not be too serious as I have not seen any reports of him have an MRI or any other test.

From CincyJungle.com

The Cincinnati Bengals have made a waiver claim, landing offensive tackle Myles Hinton off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles, it was announced on Monday.

Hinton, a 2025 sixth-round NFL Draft pick from the Michigan Wolverines, is the only player the Bengals landed on waivers following Sunday’s final roster cuts deadline. He missed all of his rookie season due to a back injury, then was waived by the Eagles on Sunday.

Not a bad pickup low risk and potential for something.

They cut Tanner Hudson. They should have cut Sample or Orlando.

The Bengals today made the following roster moves:

*Acquired OT Myles Hinton on waivers from Philadelphia. Hinton (6-6, 342), a second-year player out of the University of Michigan, originally was a sixth-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2025. He spent his entire rookie season on the Reserve/Injured list due to a back injury.

*Released TE Tanner Hudson.

*Signed the following 11 players to the practice squad (all were with the Bengals during training camp):

--HB Kentrel Bullock

--QB Sean Clifford

--DT Howard Cross III

--DE Isaiah Foskey

--LB Joe Giles-Harris

--LB Shaka Heyward

--CB Bralyn Lux

--HB Kendall Milton

--WR Jordan Moore

--WR Noah Thomas

--S Russ Yeast

The Bengals' practice squad currently is five spots shy of the 16-player limit.

Basically no risk here. But also not a player I expect moves the needle much. Hopefully he is healthy and will develop as a depth piece over time.

From Lance:

Back from vacation and accessing the Cincinnati Bengals roster:

Obviously, all eyes go to the top end talent on the roster. But here is what I like about the back end of the roster. Zac Taylor has often said, "I love guys that love football....guys that want to be what we're about." That includes scrappers and fighters. Guys with chips on the shoulders. Guys that were overlooked and underrated. Guys that are chasing the dream.

I like having guys like:

Dohnte Meyers, WR: Not a single D-1 offer. The 28-year old once paid $100 to try out with a CFL team. Now, he's in a WR room with the likes of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. He drove through the night from Atlanta in order to throw and catch with Joe Burrow. He led the team in receptions (11) and receiving yards (121) this preseason.

Jack Endries, TE: Lasted until the 7th round, then declared "I’m going to make sure I make every team that didn’t f&*^% draft me pay" He proceeded to battle his way into a crowded TE room and then earned a seat.

Swayze Bozeman, LB: The May waiver claim played his way past guys like Shaka Heyward and Joe Giles-Harris. He was once a safety for Copiah–Lincoln. A community college in Wesson, Mississippi. Who? What? Where? He went undrafted. The Bengals are his 4th team.

Landon Robinson, DT: 7th round longshot. Navy guy. Didn't even get invited to the NFL combine. But he flashed in camp and then flashed in preseason games. Led with 2.5 sacks. Does little things with big effort and energy. Fought his way to a roster spot. Heck, his dad grew up a Bengals fan.

Jacob Bayer, OL: An undrafted free agent that joined the Bengals during the middle of last season. A fighter. A scrapper. A mullet. Learning to play guard, after playing center.

What do each of these players give the Bengals this season? I have no idea. Maybe little. Maybe something. 'Loving ball' will only get you so far in the NFL.

But I like what they represent.

Not to take shots, but as I typed this, I thought of other roster guys in recent years....including a guy like Jermaine Burton. The Bengals spent more time wondering where he was and what he was doing, than seeing him catch passes.

After Friday night's final preseason game by the backups, Zac said “You fit exactly what we want a Bengal to be.”

I like that.

I've never built a roster. But if I did, I'd like rounding one out with guys that have had to prove themselves each step along the way. Guys I don't have to wonder/worry about effort, desire and focus to be part of a winning team, a Super Bowl team.

Bengals where out practicing this afternoon. My car temperature said 97. I guess the Bengals don't believe in player safety.
