I wasn’t there. But the radio guys that were have been very negative about the offensive line play today. Overwhelming thoughts are it simply hasn’t been good enough (especially today) and the defense dominated upfront, again. Also expressed concern (which isn’t new) that the team doesn’t have quality depth to make any real chances on the o-line. It will be interesting to see the reports coming out of the joint practice tomorrow with the Bears.

I like the idea of ownership continuing to be aggressive to make the team better. However, at this point I don’t believe there are many real options to improve the O-line, especially when you consider they just re-upped Orlando this off season. I don’t think Slayton or Jenkins gets you much in a trade. I don’t think adding a guy after cuts does much either. I am also not sure there is much left on the free agent market. Teams can’t be great at all positions. I believe most fans thought one of the team’s biggest concerns was if the O-line would continue to develop together and stay healthy to build on last year. None of us should have thought this O-line was going to be dominant. Personally, I just wanted it to be average. I want Burrow to be smart (throw the damn ball away occasionally or check down more often) and the coaches to scheme (the under center work is an example of that) which would help an average O-line.

Bears just ran an offensive series from inside their own 10 and the Bengals defense wrecked • Myles Murphy with 2 sacks, including a safety. • Jalen Davis picks off Caleb Williams on the final play of practice

I am thinking this will change for our Bengals in 2026.
