Featured Replies

So does this mean that Highlands won't be playing Colerain?

That's exactly what it means.

No but I heard they might be invited to play in the classic.

I hope that is a joke please don't tell me HHS could beat a team like Hoover. Hoover will have a new starting QB next year plus thats a big trip for them to take for a game. I think that giver the Cards a chance, but I take the Bucs in this one!

If Highlands gets to participate, it would not be against a team like Hoover. It would be against a Dayton-area school, I believe.

Same thing I was thinking. HHS has always had a talent of getting invited to things like this. Is Dale a smooth talker or what?:D

Yes he is, maybe the very best at the H.S. level, I don't care what state you pick. I do believe Dale is truly missing his calling at the Collegiate level.

The fact that Highlands get those invites though is not solely due to Dales charm but because of the tradition and success of the past 48 years.

So does this mean that Highlands won't be playing Colerain?

Certainly you don't have to ask that question on here to know the answer. You probaably allready have a good idea who Highlands will be playing the second game of the year. Why don't you enlighten us less unfortunate ones.:D

Bob Who? If you are talking about the Bob I think you are I would say he would be working with his team towards the 3 state title in a row. I am sure that's not the Bob you in question here because he has nothing to do with this topic. Back to the Cards vs the Bucs...............

I think he meant Bob Sphire, yeah that's it, of LexCath that moved on to a much larger fish down in Geogia or somewhere. You know, HHS is always trying to find and play the best in the area or for that matter the Country.:D Anyway the Bob you are talking about, for some reason won't consider a game with HHS. As you say back to the thread, after watching MTV, the boys from Hoover won't stand a chance if Colerein has a normal team like they always do. Hoover wouldn't beat the best ten in Ohio IMO.

Absolutely. Even though I do not like to get on Yappi and read how they constantly down us, we have to give credit where credit is due and High School Football in Ohio is another ball game. Not that there are better coaches or better players, they just have MORE of everything. I don't know about some of you on here but I will be rooting for Colerain. NKY gets a good feed off of Ohio because we are so close. That is probably why NKY is the best football in the state, with the exception of a few Louisville teams. We all are part of some great tri-state area football. That is why I root for the Cincinnati teams when they play in events like this.

I agree with you guys 100% I'll be pulling for the Cards. I work with a Colerain guy and that is all he talks about every single day. The only bad thing about them winning is him never shutting up LOL

Is it goin to be on ESPN?

I would bet it will be on 19XIX in Cincinnati.

Wow! This is an absolute joke. So you mean to tell me that Hoover wouldn't beat any team in Ohio, let alone the top ten? What are you basing this on? I guess MTV had it all wrong when they did the two-a-days on Hoover. They should've done the whole GCL. Ohio has really good football on the high school level, but you're comparing it to one of the best teams not only in the south, but the whole country. That would be like saying the year Trinity came up there and opened the flood gates on Elder, or whoever it was that was the D-1 state champ that year, the top 5 teams in ky that year were also better.
