Tinius said the schools considered starting as early as 3 p.m.

“The way the sun sets over our building, it would have been grossly unfair for about a 20-minute period for whoever was looking into the sun for that quarter,” Tinius said.

Trinity AD agreed to it since he was consulted on time. I'm sure if he was against the time it would be different time.

I don't see what the big deal is since both schools are closed today so not like Trinity has to rush over to St. X after school. I like that the game is earlier. 3:00 would be fine to me.

I am really surprised they made adjustments to any of the playoff games.  I noticed they changed the Woodford and Owensboro game up by an hour?  Why

Most are going to say because of the travel for the teams, but this was not done to all games????

 

Here is my conspiracy reason game was moved up to help Karsten Busch to have more time to travel to his Miami visit since they play at noon tomorrow.

I say quit crying about it. I’m off work today and if my team was playing, 5pm kickoff would be ideal.

I love the game being played early, I can watch it with very few distractions and it frees up more time later when all the games are on.

Who said there was a need? Both teams agreed to play it earlier. That includes the Trinity AD.

To paraphrase a former coach, don’t care if it’s played at 2:00 am on a muddy lot, we’ll be there.
