NewCath makes the short trek to Bellevue to take on the Tigers this Thursday. NewCath coming off running a clock on Dayton while Bellevue hanging tough with Newport last week 0-6. Who you taking in this one?

Bellevue has taken some really good strides from a few years ago where they could not even field a team at times.  That being said they are not in the same realm as NCC and have not played anyone remotely close to NCC this year.

Looking back on NCC’s losses, outside of the Conner loss, the other 3 teams have turned out to be very good. I think they have learned and used that to hit their stride. Now I think Bellevue’s defense is surprisingly good and has kept them in it. I’m curious to see how good NCC’s offense looks against them. However Bellevue’s offense has not caught up just yet but I like what I see.

Those that have followed NCC this year knew this schedule was going to be tough early. The NCC faithful like the scheduling Lickert has done IMO. NCC always punches up and come prepared for playoffs. They have about 100-110 boys in the school and 48 play football. We are still figuring things out up front and seem to be coming together at the perfect time.

I agree on the scheduling. Scheduling teams that you know you’ll put running clock on does nothing but give kids false confidence. The Conner and Lloyd games were disappointing just bc of the lack of energy they seemed to play with. Even the Beechwood game the Breds answered Beechwood’s first touchdown with one on the following drive.

Bellevue does have a pretty good defense which I hope does test the Breds Offense.

I really think if the Pendleton kid stayed at Bellevue this could been a really special season that they haven’t seen in a while.

But good luck to both teams in this Thursday matchup. Hopefully it’s an injury free game for both.

If Pendleton didn’t leave, Bellevue very well may have one loss right now, maybe none.

That kid is fast as Greased Lightning.

I agree I don't see this one being close. I think Miles and Bivens explode for big nights. No disrespect to Bellevue's defense but I do not think they can hang with NCC's offense. NCC has found what works for them at the right time in the season and are hitting their stride. Bivens right, Bivens left, Bivens up the middle all night. The run game will give Miles a chance to hit open receivers whenever he drops back.

NCC 35-8
