The Frederick Douglass Broncos (4-3) make the 2.5-mile trip to take on the Bryan Station Defenders (4-3). Thank goodness they have moved this game back to a Friday night game instead of a Saturday game at noon. This will be for the district title most likely after both teams defeated their first district game last night. The Broncos got a hard-fought win at home over a very good Madison Central team. The Defenders also had a very tough game where they defeated GRC 28-25 also at home. This will be 8th meeting all-time with Douglass winning the previous 7 games. They have played two common opponents this season in Tates Creek and Corbin. The Defenders defeated Tates Creek 35-14 and they lost at home to Corbin 7-0. The Broncos defeated Tates Creek 40-7 and defeated 28-7 at Corbin. This is a game that the Defenders can win but I think the Broncos win in the 7-10 point range.

The game is scheduled for a 6:30pm. The game will be on Gilcod Sports and also on the NFHS Network as well.

Whoa!!! There has to be some truth to this, correct?

I am not sure truer words have been spoken.  Maybe one the best runs of talent the state has seen in years. possibly decades. Does anyone have a list of the D1 commits to compare to the list of the schools mentioned in the YouTube post? Can we compare those list to the number of D1 talent  X and T had during the same time frame? I would venture to say that FD has a longer list and its not close.

I think the window has closed on the "this is the year" talk for the city teams to finally beat Douglass. Having seen Station in-person against Simon Kenton, I will give the Defenders kudos for having a quarterback that actually passes vertically.  That is something the Broncos have rarely faced against Station.

Carpenter will have a tough go facing off against the Broncos secondary, however.  CB Demond Green will be looking forward to competing against his old team. That has always been the story in this series, Bryan Station has never been able to outplay the FD defense. There have been games where the Defenders were "close", but the outcome was never in doubt. In all seriousness,  I don't know if they have ever led Douglass in any games played yet.

Offensively,  I like the frosh QB Guzman to throw several long TDs, as Station will stack the box to stop Talbert. Douglass will get the RC cola, but Station will score a garbage TD or 2 in the 4th. 42-14 Broncos.

Glicod is great…announcers…replays….!  NFHS is just awful…no announcers…no scores…no clock and one camera at a 50 yard line vantage.

I agree 100% plus Gilcod is free.

If Barbour from Station had any help I think they could give Douglass a good game. Barbour has to do it all for Station, that will not be enough to pull off the upset. I think Douglass wins by 3Tds.
