The good news for Colonel fans is they seem to be settling into an offensive identity. The defensive adjustments also seem to be have taken hold. Special team adjustments need to be made, but the team has the potential to turn some heads in the postseason.

The Irish ended up borrowing St. Agnes Church just a few hundred yards down Dixie Highway from Cov Cath to hold mass instead.

As a non-Catholic, let me ask: The priest clearly has a green robe that matches the school colors. Is that priest with the team or is he the priest at St. Agnes? Is he wearing green for a religious reason or is it as simple as matching the team?

If I may ~

It could be the team chaplain, but I believe more likely a priest at St. Agnes.

The alter cloths, banners, as well as his vestments are green to signify a period of hope, life, and spiritual growth during "Ordinary Times" and would be seen currently in all Roman Catholic churches.

If one were to step into Lutheran, Anglican, or Methodist churches (for just a few examples), green would also be worn and displayed at this time of year. Other liturgical colors would be featured during various seasons - Advent, Lent, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, etc. for many churches in the Catholic and Protestant traditions.

- This is a really nice win, even if the QB got knocked out. Cathedral has well coached older team that has definitely been in the weight room.

- I thought the DC from Cathedral was very good and gave Cov Cath fits with pressure packages.

- Funny enough special teams was not good, but their good kicker missed a couple kicks and we got an extra 2 point conversion since they jumped on the PAT.

-Cov Cath should running clock the next 3 opponents plus a bye week before the gauntlet starts vs Johnson Central. Hopefully some time to get healthy.

I came away unimpressed with Cathedral for all the hype they were getting. Offense was extremely vanilla but maybe that is because the QB was hurt?  They also missed 2 FGs. However, I did like how the Cov Cath offense looked. I felt like they moved the ball very well and look good for the post season.

QB went down late second quarter if I'm remembering correctly. The offensive play calls weren't much different after he went out, maybe a few less passes over the middle (but they seemed to like to work the flats anyway). The game plan looked to me to get the running game started and let the defense get after CovCath to create turnovers or field position. The Irish offense hasn't been overly efficient this year, scoring a combined total of 14 against Ben Davis, Brownsburg, and Cincy X. Even in the massive 21 - 15 upset over Center Grove, 7 of the points were the result of a fumble recovery in the endzone. I will say, the Irish are a team you do not want to go down double digits against and allow them to get the blitz packages going.

I thought they had a lot of good high school players, but were missing the D1 difference makers that the teams that have beaten Cov Cath this year have on their roster.

For example, Elder without their QB and linebackers probably lose to Cincy X by the same score these guys did.
